Conscious Hotel Museum Square

Hotel is in a nice area and very convenient. But the room has a strange smell. I have a feeling it’s not very clean. No reception, only some staffs work in the restaurant also help you if you have some questions. Not what I expected as a hotel

Everything was perfect until I had the worst ever check out experience. I got back to the hotel at precisely 11:44am to check out. A cleaning lady caught me at the door and told me the check out time was 11am and they were looking for me. I had absolutely no idea. I apologize for times and immediately rushed back to take all my luggages out. The lady was nice & friendly, she told me I could have 5mins to get everything done. And then I waited for the reception staff for check out, who printed out a bill of the city tax + an extra €20 and just asked for my credit card, without any explanation. I politely asked her what the 20 is, she rolled her eyes and said it’s the penalty for ‘late check out’. I told her that I was not reminded of the check out time as it’s normally 12, and of course, it’s my negligence so I apologized again, and asked if she can waive it as the cleaning lady told me it’s ok as I got my stuff out now. She said in these exact words: ‘She also told you to talk to the reception for check out, and I am the reception, so NO.’ She didnt even have the courtesy to at least clarify the policy. After my repeated questioning, she finally told me this penalty is for checking out from 11am to 2pm. My question is, if you have decided to fine me in the first place, why just sat there and watched me rushing in and out in 5 minutes while I have actually paid for 3hrs??? She showed no level of hospitality and willingness to help. The rudeness and arrogance were absurd.

友善的漂亮小飯店，房間夠大，訂了wow房型還附了一個小花園跟泡澡浴缸，房間美中不足是浴缸在床邊，泡澡容易弄溼，淋浴間的水也容易流出到整個浴室地板，得小心沖澡的方向⋯ 工作人員非常友善，也提供許多實用的旅遊建議，對於單身帶著小小孩旅行的我非常受用！ 鄰近梵谷博物館跟市立美術館、國家博物館等等，離運河游船登船處也很近，住這裡的幾天行程很豐富，都是走路就可以到達的距離！

No air conditioning!

Helpful and knowledgeable staff, very clean room, great breakfast with plenty to choose from, perfect location in Museumplein and tram 24 service to Amsterdam Centraal and city centre.

This was a lovely hotel in a convenient location. It's a short walk to the museum square, which also has a grocery store and some restaurants. There are multiple tram lines going into downtown and other parts of the city. I think it is across from a school. Some weekdays had a lot of excited children noises. The room was nice, a normal sized TV, a Bluetooth speaker, and a desk area. The bed was nice and firm, the pillows were a little flat, but they did have a "pillow menu" where you could ask for different pillows. The bathroom is open with a door only for the toilet. The shower has a small lip to print water from coming out. There was shampoo and body wash. There wasn't a shelf to put any of your own products on. It was nice to have a rain shower head and a hand held sprayer. The staff we talked to were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice with options for made to order eggs. We did visit during the height of tulip season so the room was much more than I would normally expect for this quality of hotel.

The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are big and comfortable by European standards. The staff are warm and welcoming and always available to chat. Public transport is nearby as are a number of good dining options. The only negative is for amenities. If you want a fitness center or a pool this is not the spot for you.

Excellent location, lovely room. Best was the staff and conviviality of the setup at this small hotel. Wine & cheese at 5-6p every evening, gorgeous skylit, bright sitting/dining area. We only had coffee in the morning but the hot Breakfast looked amazing. Location is perfect — easy walk to the old center but away from its crowds, great food/market quarter to east, across from concert hall & short walk across the green to the rijksmuseum….A memorable stay.

Perfect place to stay

Hotel looks nice, location is great. Breakfast was great and fresh. We liked it a lot.

Hôtel propre, chambre propre, lit très confortable. Par contre le point négatif c’est qu’il n’y a pas de porte dans la salle de bain.

The worse hotel

전반적으로 좋은 곳이나 오래된 건물임을 알 수 있었다.

スタッフさんの対応がいい。ベッドが快適。朝ごはんはちょっと期待外れでしたが、観光スポットと近いので便利でした。

Quarto bem amplo, ótimas camas. Menu de travesseiros. Ótima localização perto dos museus, área tranquila. Única coisa que sentimos falta foi frigobar no quarto.

Great room, very comfortable and clean. Quiet. And very nice staff - they were very relaxed and helpful.
