Hotel De Bilderberg

The public areas were very clean and updated. The room was clean, except carpet needs cleaned or updates. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was automated to do yourself and I am not fond of the process.

The hotel is set in a beautiful old building with plenty of character, surrounded by lovely hiking trails. When I arrived, I asked if I could have a water bottle because I had forgotten mine and was heading out for a hike. The staff member was happy to help, which I appreciated. The staff I encountered the following day were less welcoming and helpful. The room felt a bit dated. The furniture and curtains looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades, and the mattress showed signs of heavy use. The building’s age also means the walls are quite thin, so noise travels easily. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, and during my stay the sauna was out of order. Rooms are cleaned only on request, which also means coffee, tea, and toilet paper are only replenished if you ask. Overall, the hotel has a lot of charm and is beautifully situated, but the level of comfort and service is not what I’d expect from a four star hotel.

Het is een mooi, schoon hotel. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het zwembad was zeker een plus.

De kamer junior suite was fijn. Bedden zijn heel goed. Verbeterpunten waren: Het schilderwerk buiten is echt aan een nieuwe beurt toe. De zonwering aan de gevel werkte niet. De telefoon werkte niet, de aansluiting was niet actief en ook niet actief te krijgen door de kabels eruit te halen en erin te plaatsen. De bar is niet open in de avond. Geen minibar in de kamer.

Great hotel on a good location. Really friendly staff. Service from the bar could have been better when sat in the lounge but they were full in the restaurant, so clearly busy.

Is een aanrader om te verblijven. Rustig gelegen. Leuke restaurants in de buurt

Staff extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Fabulous quiet location, 15 minute walk from the Airborne museum. Breakfast was sufficient and an excellent choice on offer.

Hotel was prachtig gelegen. Lief personeel en het ontbijt was top. Alleen onze kamer had geen airco wat opzich wel fijn had geweest met de warmte. Er was een ventilator geplaatst wat wel fijn was maar niet ideaal maar verder was alles top

Geen grote minpunten of hoogtepunten, een beetje vergane glorie...

Was een mooie plek. Wel moeilijk aangegeven voor dat je de op rij laan in gaat. Vond het wel een duur hotel en snap het ook wel, het ziet er van binnen en buiten mooi uit .

Beautiful old building with beautiful surrounding forest

The hotel was as nice and clean and the staff were good but the breakfast was nowhere near the £20 euros I paid for it. On the first morning I couldn’t get to the restaurant because of maintenance going on near reception which meant I had to go around the hotel via some diversion notices all in Dutch so by the time I got there it was closed. The second morning I got up earlier to make sure I got there but wished I hadn’t bothered as the only thing worth eating was the bread. The bacon was cold and greasy and the tiny sausages were like bullets. Everything else was cold so i should have gone to McDonald’s.
