My stay at Admirals Motor Inn in Nelson was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality by Fraser and Kelly, whose warmth and attentiveness made all the difference. Their dedication to creating a safe, inviting, and family-friendly environment ensures that every guest, whether traveling alone or with whānau, feels at home.
The accommodation itself exceeded expectations: immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained to the highest standards. It’s more than just a place to stay, it’s a retreat where guests can unwind in a clean and beautifully kept space.
I wholeheartedly recommend Admirals Motor Inn to anyone seeking quality accommodation in Nelson. My gratitude goes to Fraser and Kelly for their outstanding service and commitment to making every guest’s experience truly special.

Nice reception from very helpful owner! Convenient location for visiting Nelson with large carpark. Our room was on the short side of the „L“ of buildings so we were along the road which had the occasional motorcycle or truck rumbling close by but units are along a field and I imagine much quieter. Good sized unit with fair sized kitchen and good hot shower.

The property was great, laundry available, cooking facilities in room. Large room, Big windows, friendly owner who was very helpful, kind and witty. Really comfy room and bed. Serviced daily. Plenty of parking. Very Close to township to walk and explore. Lovely big park next door for picnic. It was a really happy stay and quite even though its on a busy road.
Book through the owner as he is lovely to talk to and it will ensure all money goes to his family. We loved it.

Staff were excellent and the room was clean, but the room could have been rented out as a sweat lodge. The property is tired and outdated. No A/C and our room was roasting with only a fan to cool it. We pulled the curtains shut when we left because the sun was beating in but when we returned the room was hot. We tried to get a through draft by opening the hall door and the front door but that did little other than make us feel as though we were in a fish bowl exposed to the world. The chairs were also really uncomfortable and the kitchen looks like it came from the 1950s. A serious renovation is needed.

We stayed as guests of my father, and this worked well. We has a spacious, clean room in a convenient location for Nelson City , and the staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay and the unit was spacious, spotlessly clean and well laid out with a well stocked kitchen - everything you could need to cook a meal, if you were that way inclined. It was handy for the CBD which was about a 15-minute walk and there was a really nice restaurant almost next door. The only drawback was that our unit (number 8) was close to the road so, if you are a light sleeper, I suggest you ask for a unit closer to the back. Apart from that, I couldn't fault it and we would stay again if we were in the area.
