Friendly co-operative staff and clsse to Middlemore Hospital

Found it very hard in the dark to get key. numbers on keypad were too small to see. had to contact out of hours staff. I left at 10am and hoped the reception would be open so i could say thank you, but was closed. i would have liked some contact with the staff so that i did not feel i was just an unimportant number.

Walking to the nearest shops for a takeaway is kind of scary, because this is not an upper-class suburb. You can, however, feel safe when you walk to the Middlemore train station. From there, you can quickly go anywhere on the Auckland transport network. This makes Middlemore Motel a clean, comfortable, and economical place to stay for your Auckland visit.

Not a very welcoming room. Not recommended if you want to sleep, it is extremely noisy!! Shower goes cold real quick.

Check in was strange as we kept pushing the door bell and ended up ringing up to get the key. The bathroom was huge and very convenient but hanging your clothes in the bathroom is not suitable unless there is an iron that we need to request. As we enjoy hot drinks, the leaking jug was not helpfull, and the fridge was not fit to have any cold liquid standing up so our milk always leaked as it sat on its side. All beds made you feel like you were rolling to the middle. It was fit for purpose and satisfactory enough for a family of 4 but please consider putting a wardrobe in the single bedroom as bags ended up in the kitchen area so would not get wet in the bathroom

Aircon stopped working on second night but did get fixed the next day. The place is ok.

Spacious and comfortable. Love the kitchen area as well. It tops all the other motels I've stayed at.

I love the location of the motel. It’s quiet and yet close to the airport. Very clean and spacious. The only one problem for me was the check-in hour. It was kinda late as my flight to Auckland was early in the morning and i couldn’t check-in until 12pm. So it’ll be great if the manager can adjust the check-in time to coincide with guests flight schedules. But all in all, i had a lovely time at Middlemore Motel. I would definitely stay there again and also recommend friends and family who will staying overnight at Auckland. 💝
