Beautiful apartment, stunning views. However, no parking available so had to park up a very steep hill across the road. Under construction so access was disrupted and you had to walk up steep driveway each time. No main reception and/or bar area. Could not cast to TV in main lounge, only bedroom.
Would stay again, once completed. Will book PARKING too!

The hotel has 2 blocks and is situated on the north slope of Frankton arm of Lake Wakatipu. The higher block has got a spectacular view of the lake. You can take the Frankton trail to go to downtown area.

The view of the appartment is perfect. It is close to the lake front with a trail lead to the town centre. Convenient but still quiet. The staff are very helpful too. Free Wifi at the lobby (30min each day).

I’m very appreciating the staff at the front desk, they offered a room changed when I’m disappointed with the lake view which was being blocked by the construction. Finally I got a stunning view from my balcony. And the overall experience is great, and the location is just good.

Quite disappointed to arrange to the first floor which the lake view is totally blocked by the construction fences while we booked a lake view room with extra costs. And the furniture is quite old.

"Staying in this Oaks Shore hotel is a nightmare!" I heard a lady shouting to hotel staffs during my check-in in Feb. I booked 2 rooms for my family for 3 nights! It was a big mistake in my NZ trip and deceived by the pictures shown in booking websites. The rooms are very small and the worst in our NZ trip. If you are assigned to room number with suffix "A", your entire holiday mood would be ruined by this hotel. The rooms with suffix A are actually a spinoff from a family room. The hotel owner wants to earn more money without any considerations of customer feeling. I got 2 rooms with 205A and 207A. 205A is actually a cut off from a family room 205, similar to 207A. you can imagine these cubicles are very small, poor views and very disappointed because they charged us with 5 stars hotel rate. We requested to change rooms but unfortunately all rooms are fully booked. Services are poor, no matter what request you asked, you have to jump to the reception but no guarantee they can help.
