The studio apartment is beautifully decorated and very well equipped in the main. The location is perfect, it's slightly to the quieter side of the Jewish district so quiet at night but only a few minutes on foot and you're in the thick of it. The old town is also just a short 15-20min walk away or faster on the electric scooters! As we stayed at the end of August it was exceptionally hot and there is one small fan and no air con, in extreme heat this is a big problem unfortunately. There are only two windows in the whole place and one small fan. If you open the windows there is unfortunately little to no air flow as they face a closed in area. In addition not it also means letting in all the mosquitoes and we were eaten alive at night. It's also worth noting if you visit in the summer months that the sleeping area is a mezzanine, heat rises, it's unbearable! We had to resort to sleeping downstairs on the sofa bed as it was slightly cooler but not ideal as we'd paid to sleep in a bed and nearly a week on a sofa bed no matter how well made isn't great. We understand you can't control the weather but according to locals the temperatures were not unusual for July/August so air con would be a must going forward Id say. It would also have been good to have a plug in mosquito repellent provided. That said there was tea, coffee, milk and basic cooking supplies provided which was handy. A local map and list of near by amenities would be useful too. Overall a lovely space!
