Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great quality and variety of food at the breakfast buffet. Hotel was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Ótimo quarto, só não gostei dos travesseiros que não são bons, mas o restante é ótimo, cama confortável , banheiro novo e espaçoso. O café da manhã excelente, muito variado e saboroso. Funcionários super gentis e educados, sempre orientando sobre a cidade , os passeios , tudo.

The staff were very friendly, attentive and always accommodating. Exceptional view from the rooftop bar/pool area. Delicious buffet breakfast(s). Easy transport accessibility. I highly recommend.

It's fifteen years since I last visited Madeira, and since the hotels at which I had stayed on previous occasions were full, I opted for this hotel - which didn't exist when I was last here - because it's located a short walk away from Funchal's market (Mercado dos Lavradores), the cable car, the restaurants in the Rua de Santa Maria and Pingo Doce supermarket. The lobby is smart, and the check-in staff (as well as nearly all others) were courteous and welcoming. My air-conditioned room was spacious, well-presented and clean, the bathroom likewise; the bed was comfortable. The hotel's wifi was somewhat slow at times - certainly slower than the mobile data connection on my smartphone to which I had to resort on occasions. A USB socket at the bedside/desk or a wireless charging pad somewhere would have been a welcome feature of this day and age though. Breakfast, whether cooked or continental, was varied and plentiful. The only irritation here was that the fruit juices were unimpressive in quality, while the coffee from the machine was instant, not bean. At a time when so many have coffee machines/makers at home which produce the real thing, this was a serious disappointment. There is a pleasant roof-top bar with seating both inside and out. Service here, however, was not as warm as that experienced at the the reception desk or the restaurant/breakfast room. These things aside, I would be content to stay here again.

Overall, this is an excellent property. It is approximately a 7 to 10 minute walk from the center of town. It is on a side street, not obvious from the main roads. The rooms are clean. The flooring is all hardwood. The furniture is beautiful. Staff are quite friendly and nice. They have a rooftop pool with a gorgeous view. The overall ambiance and cleanliness is excellent. One side of the hotel faces the street which is not that pleasant. The other side of the hotel has a better view. A word of warning in our room there is sufficient closet space but only one drawer. There was no armoire. We only stayed one night. If you stay much longer and have a lot of clothes, it would be cramped.

I neede comfort and a space room, not to worry about anything. Proximity to old town a special bonus because of restaurants.

I liked the breakfast very much and the location was very convenient. Only thing is that I couldn't swim at all. It would be good if you could install a system to make the water warmer.

Great hotel

Loved everything about the Hotel. Very modern and clean. All the staff were amazing. The Pool and Bar on the Roof was a favourite spot. We had a problem with our Air Conditioner. Once we reported it the staff acted quickly and moved us to another floor.

Property is fairly close to the high street and the fruit market. Room is spacious and clean with good shower and air conditioning. Breakfast is included with the stay, a lot of different choices of pastries and fruit and it’s available until 10:30am. One downside is that there is no parking slot available on site. But hotel staff suggested a few walkable spots to park and one of them was completely free.
