After reading how in the ghetto's in Africa, you have to be careful if you are white. We decided it was near airport as stated, but in a shanty town that was with even driving 10 minutes off the main road. There were no restaurants near, if we went out, we would have had to have an escort. The young woman in charge looked at us as if we were strange due to the fact, after seeing the location, we backed out of staying in the motel. It was the best home or business in the area that we saw. But given the fact of our older ages, we could not fight off anyone if we were attacked or robbed. We found a nice hotel a mile away that had a restaurant and good room for $110. Thank you

Nice hotel, close to the airport

The location is simply appalling and extremely unsafe for Tourists in my view. We arrived In Kigali and gave the Taxi driver the address, he drove us there and then when we saw it's location we felt we did not want to stay there, and so never even checked in and lost the money we had paid. I cannot comment on whether the Hotel/staff/service were good as I wouldn't have stayed in that location even if the Hotel was free!! It may or may not be wonderful, but we didn't like the look of the area at all - sanitation was also clearly dreadful in the area so even without the personal security concerns, food and water safety would be a concern. Strongly recommend you do not book . .
