We stayed here as a night stop over. It was perfect for that, with the owners going above and beyond to ensuring we got our breakfast early so we could get away early.
The room was clean and well provided for with the usual towels, soap, shower gel, TV, hairdryer, kettle and teas and coffee. I would be happy to stay here again as a stopover.
We arrived around 9pm and went for a nice walk around the town which seemed to have lots of interlinked paths through the streets and trees.
The owners were lovely and chatty and I'd be happy to stay here again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Very pleasant owners. Staff also. Unique in its appearance, rooms clean and warm very old building but well looked after, excellent for a central holiday in Aberdeenshire and Angus, very central to Perth, Dundee, and Aberdeen. A nice walk to the Tay, and your also on the edge of the Cairngorms.

It was cheap and in a convenient location for me, and the staff were lovely. But the room was the most outdated I've seen, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the towels were dirty and stained.

The room was not in a great state and in need of some TLC. Although the location is quiet, the rooms are not due to other guests and creaking floorboards above. The beer was good and the food was good value for the money. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to.

We left without staying. We asked them to get the room cleaned as there was body hair in the bath and the room smelt of urine but this was refused. I was told I would be getting a refund but yet I’m STILL waiting for it. I would not waste my time. Very dated and needs a whole lot of TLC put into the place and it would be lovely because the outside is nice and the village is beautiful

The rooms were large and clean with towels and toiletries provided. The staff were so lovely and polite. The food was also really nice with a good selection. I'd recommend the lasagne. Free WiFi was also available at the property.
I also love the little touches like the towels were shaped into two little elephants
