Hotel Modak Namdaemun

Stayed 4 nights in a suite-type room. Very spacious, clean and tidy. Conveniently located, airport shuttle bus 6702 stops right at entrance, subway/train stations within 5-10 mins walk. Good communications and instructions, staff polite and very responsive.

Excellent service, very polite customer services. I will stay definitely at this hotel modak next trip as well.

Awesome

Plenty of places nearby for eating. Room was quiet. Good location close to Seoul Station metro and Korail. Our enquiries and requests via Whatsapp were responded to promptly. Checkin and out were done at a digital kiosk, and very simple.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location in the middle of Seoul

The accommodations were simple but we had everything we needed. They allow more than 4 people (we had 5) but do not have roll away beds or couches. The staff was very kind and gave our kids snacks every time we saw him. He helped us with a taxi and helped us with whatever we asked.

The check-in was easy (it's all online). We did have an issue with our room, but I messaged the management and had a response within 5 minutes. The rooms were clean, spacious, the air conditioning worked perfectly!, and the staff we did interact with were so nice. There's also lots of convenient transportation close. I'd happily stay here again!

スタッフとは対面ではないが、質問にはすぐ答えてくれて安心できた。 お部屋自体は綺麗にリノベーションされていて、清潔でもあったので、よかった。コンビニも近くてよい。 でも建物自体があまりに古く、廊下の老朽化と照明も暗いのが、微妙なポイント。 ソウル駅は思ったより離れている。荷物がなければ全然歩ける距離だが、荷物があると不便に感じてしまう距離。

We loved our stay. Brand new rooms inside another hotel. Allowed us to check in early and room had two comfortable beds. Quiet and with brand new amenities. Having a washing machine was a game changer for us. And little kitchen was handy too. Would def recommend to stay again

Everything is great

I stayed there between 7/10-13. The location was 10 minutes from Seoul station which is a prime location. Also, the room was nice and clean. One of the best one was the laundry. The room has a laundry. I stayed with my daughter and we definitely needed small laundry service every day. The laundry in the room helps me a lot. Easy check in with very friendly staffs. I will definitely stay there again. Thanks for the gummy snacks. I daughter loved it.

Kiosk check in and check out. It's available in English as well. Great location with Seoul station and Namdaemun right downstairs. The room was a bit dusty but clean otherwise. Lot of convenience store and coffee shops. During business hours, they were able to hold my bags for me while I did some sightseeing on my last day. The staff were so kind.

Outstanding value for money - two convenience stores and some good restaurants right beside entrance. 10 to 12 minute walk to Seoul Train Station. Loved the self-checkin. I am usually not a fan but this one was seamless. Beds were super comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Towels are small compared elsewhere but plenty were provided.

A little too eco friendly to me if that’s even possible. I need a full body towel the small towels were too difficult to adapt to but overall I’ll definitely think of coming back there if ever in the area again in the future. They have a washer too for clothes but no dryer we made the mistake washing thinking it had a dryer and realized too late so we went old fashioned and hung our clothes to dry hahaha.

Nice hotel near Seoul station

We stayed for five days, and even my father, who uses a wheelchair, was able to move around the room comfortably. In terms of sightseeing, the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The hotel has a modern system that allows communication with the front desk through LINE and other apps, and they responded to our inquiries promptly and efficiently. Traveling in Seoul with my parents, who are in their 80s, became a truly memorable experience. For our return trip, my husband and I went back to Canada one day earlier, while my parents stayed an extra day. Fortunately, there were plenty of great restaurants around the hotel, so they had no trouble finding good food. However, since the area is a business district, many shops and restaurants were closed over the weekend. We ended up dining near Seoul Station.

아이가 친구를 데리고 한국 여행을 와서 부산 대구를 돌고 마지막 2박을 여기서 했어요. 객실 문을 열자마자 들린 아이들의 탄성에 아빠로서 너무 행복했어요. 서울 호텔을 검색하던 아내가 '여기 당장 예약해'라고 한 이유가 있었네요. 기억을 되살려 보니 지난 3월에 오랜 친구와 라마다에 머문 적 있는데, 모닥 객실은 다 리모델링이 되어 아주 좋았어요. 투병 중에 아이와 함께한 여행인데 마지막에 최고의 숙박을 했네요. 부디 아이에게 좋은 추억이 되었기를...
