Got trapped in the hotel elevator and the emergency call button failed to work, also my husband got horrific food poisoning from the hotel buffet breakfast. The hotel manager couldn’t care less, avoid this hotel.

After visiting a the hotel post renovation, everything looks beautiful, but unpractical, the pool shrank significantly and its impossible to enjoy without bumping into a child/adult. For babies/toddlers will be perfect, but not for 4+ as the big pool is now very small for the volume of guests. The new pool restaurant was ok but expensive. The kids show looked very improvised and repetitive. Even the DJ was distracted chatting with staff around him. The mail restaurant needs for staff, plates were pilling on the table without someone being attentive to pick them up. The staff that we recognised from our previous visit, really makes the effort to do as much as possible, but more staff is needed. Half board doesn’t include drinks, be aware, expedia does not advertise this. Luckily we got compensation after claiming this via chat.

Wir hatten große Erwartungen an dieses Hotel, wurden aber insgesamt enttäuscht. Der Hauptpool ist deutlich überfüllt, uns war es mit all den Kindern schlicht zu viel – und das, obwohl wir selbst mit Kind reisen. Liegenstühle gibt es zwar genug, werden aber bereits früh morgens „reserviert“. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und abwechslungsreich, jedoch war der Kaffee von schlechter Qualität. Das Buffetessen insgesamt entsprach nicht dem Standard, den wir bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwartet hätten. Besonders unverständlich fanden wir, dass für den Dragonpark als Hotelgast noch zusätzlich Geld verlangt wird – das sollte inklusive sein. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die schöne Lage direkt am Strand, die gute Erreichbarkeit zu Fuß sowie die Zimmerausstattung. Leider war das Zimmer selbst eine Enttäuschung, da es sehr muffig und feucht war. Insgesamt leider keine Weiterempfehlung für Gäste, die Wert auf Ruhe und gehobene Qualität legen.

The sound proofing was poor, you could hear the people go in to their rooms and also the elevator was loud and could hear it also to the room. In the room there was ants everywhere coming out from the kitchen sealing. Everything else was great and definitely would come again. Pool area and the breakfeast was really good and overall the room aswell. Thank you!

The pool is to busy. Can’t move in there. The restaurant breakfast/dinner is to loud and could really do a with a refurb.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting in a picturesque cove. The room was well maintained, comfortable and spacious. The staff we met at reception, in the outdoor restaurant and cleaning our rooms were always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a very wide choice of food options. Children enjoyed the play area. Didn’t like the very busy and crowded family swimming pool.

-For travelers who enjoy lowering their standards- Beautiful lobby, terrible experience. Check-in was slow and disorganized, rooms scattered across different buildings, and basic amenities nonexistent — no welcome water, no working toilet flush, no functioning TV remote without a maintenance saga. The pool bar served overpriced cocktails that took forever to make and tasted awful. Showers blasted water everywhere before you could even use the overhead, and the “shower gel” was so ineffective my 7-year-old son complained he still felt dirty. The final insult-No iron — unless you rent one. In 30+ years of travel, I’ve never seen that. If you want a hotel where functioning showers, drinkable cocktails, and wrinkle free clothes are “luxuries,” this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Et pent, moderne anlegg. Det er veldig mange småfamilier, så i hovedbassenget var det veldig mye liv, lyd og aktivitet. Men fordelen med at det var mange barnefamilier, gjorde at det var stille og eolig på kveldene. Voksenbassenget med aldersgrense 16 år var et bra alternativ. Hvis du ønsker utsikt, be om å få rom vendt ut mot sjø. Vi hadde balkong ut mot parkeringsplass, så det var ikke så hyggelig å sitte der ute. Veldig turistdestinasjon, ikke så sjarmerende by, men mange restauranter, så for mange er dette helt supert! Veldig mange små matbutikker i nærheten.

Missing soap when we arrived

We first entered our room on the night of our arrival there was a crib in the room we had not requested. Hair on the floor and a pink lipstick sort of smudge on the floor. Worst is that I noticed a small bug near headboard. Woke up with bed bug bits- classic three bites. On arms, wrist. Next morning they offered to exchange the mattress which would be the worst thing to do as this would lead to spread of contamination. They reluctantly offered another room in another nearby building. When I went to inspect the room it had not yet been cleaned, which is fine, but when I moved the night stand table there were many bed bug nymphs, same as my previous room. They reluctantly offered another room. This room was cleaner. And I reluctantly agreed but the stay was very stressful and had to be very careful with all belongings. Leaving them outside. At the end of the trip many new classic bed bug bites had developed.. coming back home was a big hassle to get rid of many belongings and “bake” all items. I have been home a few days now and I am still in fear. I hope it’s over. Pics of my wrist, other pics will not be attached as they are of other family members. On a much lesser note, very tacky that when you order the meal package they charge you for a glass of water or drinks during dinner. Very tacky cash grab is what it feels like. Dino park is very small and adult are charged- even higher rate than the child’s cost. Not worth it.

The design of the bathroom is awful, I’ve been to plenty of hotels and this was the worst. You couldn’t take a shower without the entire floor being flooded, including where the toilet stood! Also, I’ve never had to pay for use of an iron. I thought the 6 euro daily fee for an iron was ridiculous!

Everything was amazing. Such a lovely hotel in a stunning location. A really enjoyable family stay. Thank you. X

Great for families, big resort. Well located. Beach A1

We had a fantastic week in Cala D'or. The hotel is in an incredible location. Reception staff were so friendly. Apartment was beautiful. We really didn't want to leave.

False marketing: the room we were given was nothing like publicized on the site. Management was dismissive and not willing to give us a reasonable solution: we were told the only option we had was that room that was a clear downgrade from what we had reserved. We cancelled our stay, but the hotel refused to give even partial refund of the 2900 euros we paid for our stay. Expedia also refused to give us any refund, even if it does not reflect the cancellation policy on the site. Expedia’s excuse was that the hotel refused even partial refund.

Superbe hôtel, très propre. Personnel très accueillant et très sympathique. Nous étions en demi pension et le restaurant offre de nombreux choix de plats, d’entrée et de desserts de grande qualité. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel pour un séjour en famille.

Very overcrowded Hotel, with children constantly dive bombing into the swimming pool. basically not very relaxing.

Overall given the price of this hotel, we were unimpressed. We are a family of 3, with a 3 year old girl. It was impossible to get a sun bed around the pool, all towels on loungers by 8am and the staff didn’t take them off. That would be ok as there is a small water park, which had plenty of beds however it was 22 euros per adult, each day. Incredible when our little girls was only able to go on the 2 smallest slides. The hotel is next to great small beach however it is again massively overcrowded and difficult to get sun beds or even a space on the sand. The breakfast buffet was average and again overcrowded, with 20 minutes wait most days. The positives were the area is great for families, we found a lovely cafe for breakfast in the centre and some wonderful restaurants in the evening. It felt safe with a good atmosphere. The beaches are beautiful but busy and difficult to get to with prams ( no ramps). Overall I think that if the hotel was a 3 star hotel, with that price tag it would be acceptable.

Hotellet er blevet renoveret og er super flot. Flot poolområde, fed lokation. Men personalet er ikke godt. Lang ventetid ved pool restauranten, ofte skulle man bede om menu, regning mm flere gange før der skete noget. Da vi skulle checke ind, informerede vi en uge inden omkring at vi allerede ankom kl. 11 om formiddagen, værelset skulle være klar til indtjekning senest kl. 14. Da klokken var 15:30 var værelset stadig ikke klar, på trods af at vi havde fået nøglerne der, var rengøringen først lige startet på rengøringen og vi havde derfor først værelset kl. 16, ikke helt optimalt med et lille barn. Da vi tjekkede ud blev vi på intet tidspunkt spurgt om vi havde haft et godt ophold eller andet. Værelserne var renoveret og flotte, men man kunne tydeligt mærke og lugte mug/svamp i luften, selvom vi luftede ud og havde aircondition tændt på helt kold luft.
