Occidental Cala Viñas

Pleasant hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the stay. But, wouldn't stay again. We faced many issues with the rooms that the staff needed to resolve. In my experience, it just makes a 4-star rating. The hotel needs investment in upgrades and maintenance to uphold a 4-star standard, as well as improvements to the quality of its amenities and facilities, which are well below a 4-star standard.

the room was cleaned, as the door was not closed. when we returned. we loved it though. bringing another two golfers for next year. i would love to know the room we had as i would definitely request that again.

Ich war mit meinen zwei Kindern dort und wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und alles ist top auf Kinder ausgerichtet. Es gibt ganz viele Babystühle und alle sind so lieb mit den Kindern. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und sowohl meine Kinder als auch ich haben immer etwas leckeres gefunden. Meine Tochter fand den Pool super, der an einem Ende flach reingeht. Das war ideal für die Kinder zum Spielen und planschen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und waren gut ausgestattet. Die Lage zum Meer ist toll, man kann unproblematisch zwischen Pool und Strand hin- und her wechseln. Wir haben insgesamt eine tolle Zeit verbracht.

Cold food. Buffet heaters and not keeping the food hot. Not much choice with food, only 1 restaurant on premises. After bar closes no access to drinking water on the premises. Dirty beach. Staff ok. Hotel should be more maintained. Reception spotless. The rest of the hotel not so much. Dirty cups everywhere. Room cleaning ladies real angels. Taxi or uber hard to get, be prepared for £70 to drive to Palma one way. Better to rent a car for a full day. Walk to Magaluf (nearest civilisation) around 30mins. There is a bus but goes every hour. Hotel is rather stranded. Would we visit again? No.

L’hôtel est jolie dans un cadre sympathique, le personnel est très sympathique, les points négatifs sont qu’il n’y a pas de parking et il n’est pas toujours facile de se garer, et comme dans beaucoup d’hôtel l’insonorisation n’est pas top, on entend beaucoup les gens à l’étage du dessus et les gens qui rentre tard dans la nuit et qui parlent fort ou cri dans les couloirs

Die Klimaanlage im Restaurant richt nach Schimmel. Die zur Anlage in wenigen Metern liegende Felsen werden nicht von Zigarettenkippen und sonstigen Mühl geräumt. Sonst sehr gute Hotelanlage!

Iskolde basseng, ok mat, koselig personale.

Gute Abendshows, direkt am Strand, ruhige Lage. Gute Hotelwahl als Reise mit Familie (Kleinkinder/Kinder) super Kinderprogramm. Einzige kleine Bemenglung: Geschirr nicht immer sehr sauber. Wir würden wieder dort Ferien machen. :)

La propiedad está en buen lugar, pero la condonación de las instalaciones no son muy buenas, hay que tomar varios elevadores para llegar a una ubicación, los pasillos son oscuros de los edificios, la comida del bufet no varía mucho, Rescato el buen personal que poseen, y la ubicación con playa al lago espectacular

We've been going to the occidental now for over 15 years but on this occasion we we're disappointed in the dining and the smell from the AC system around the property especially in the dining area.

Location molto bella e sulla spiaggia. Unica pecca è davvero isolata da qualsiasi centro abitato o d'interesse

Betten waren sehr bequem, Essen mit guter Auswahl und eher landestypisch. Geschmacklich sehr gut.

The food was great each day.

We have just returned from a perfect, three generational holiday at the Occidental. We needed a hotel that was a short transfer from Palma airport , close to a beach and suitable for a toddler, teens and 20-30 year-olds and a Nana that likes quiet. The Occidental not only met these expectations but surpassed them. The numerous pools, restaurant and bar facilities, children’s activities and hotel rooms were even better than we could have expected having read some of the previous reviews. I simply do not understand how people can be critical of this hotel or their staff. They went above and beyond and always had time for your queries no matter how busy they were. To those holidaymakers who complained of the noise, I would suggest you ask for quiet rooms. We did just this and they were perfect. To those holidaymakers who complained of the food, I wonder what more they could be expecting as the choice was plentiful. During our holiday, I observed the managers going around and checking on things daily. You can see they really care and want to make our holiday the best it can be and for this I thank them. I would particularly like to mention the staff at the children’s pool. The attendant always had his eyes peeled and this was particularly reassuring when you have children in the water. We enjoyed our holiday so much at this hotel and are hoping to return in the future. Thank you.
