The room was nice but the hot water wasn’t turned on until we asked the next morning. Felt safe here and staff was very nice. The immediate area was clean but unfortunately a walk along the beach shows lots of plastic on the beach area. Bigger problem than one resort can deal with.

Perfect hotel and lovely facilities just very limited on what you can do as very remote

The place is lovely BUT I wish the sites were updated to reflect covid. Arrived early evening and reception was locked up. Finally managed to locate someone to show us to the room but the bar and restaurant were closed. It’s a bit remote so we were a bit stuck. If the site had said restricted services I could have made other arrangements. Appreciate these are difficult times. In normal times I’m sure this is a lovely place. The room we had was right on the beach and with a beer and a bite to eat would have been perfect

Am Samui resort was all around excellent. The private beach was fantastic it was great to have a free breakfast nd a great value for what we paid. The location wasn’t great because it was far from a lot of attractions on koh Samui but thankfully we rented a motor bike to get around. It was 45 mins from chaweng beach and about 20 mins from raja ferry.

The setting of this hotel couldn’t be beaten. All staff friendly and helpful.

Wir waren außerhalb der Saison da und hatten das Am samui fast für uns alleine. Es war traumhaft ruhig und der Pool war außerdem sehr schön und sauber. Leider spricht nicht jeder vom Personal Englisch.

We originally booked two nights at Am Samui Resort but ended up extending our stay. Traveling as a couple, we chose the studio with a garden view which we can now warmly recommend! We liked our room but absolutely loved our private "outdoor" aka. partly roofless bathroom. Am Samui Resort is located on a stunning beach with island views incl. Ang Thong National Marine Park. A lovely sunset hangout with swings/hammock, but for swimming we preferred a nearby beach in front of I-Talay Beach Bar. If only all of the waiting staff at Am Samui Resort were as helpful and service-oriented as the lovely waitress called Mod and the English-speaking hotel manager. Even during low season, restaurant service was slow and often forgetful, food price quality ratio also left room for improvement. We recommend renting mopeds and doing day tours as the hotel location is otherwise quite remote. Am Samui Resort is a good place to flee the tourist crowds of Chaweng and one we would feel comfortable returning to.

Weit ab vom Schuss, Hotelangestellte sprechen sehr schlecht Englisch und sind äußerst langsam im Service. Essen soweit in Ordnung. Badezimmer veraltet, mit Boiler in der Dusche. Außerdem Ameisen im Badezimmer. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, länger ist unzumutbar!

The resort have a nice surrounding but the room especially the bed was not too comfortable for me and it give the "damp" feeling of the bed sheets. A more complete toileteries and better maintenance would do good to improve the experience.

The bathroom was not that crash hot but the bed was large and the wifi and tea and coffee facilities was good. The staff were excellent and went out of the way to make the stay good even though the place was far from everywhere and as such even to change money one had to spend over 80 baht just to get to the nearest money exchange. The breakfast was set but good and the beers were only 60 to 80 baht. Not sure how the bigger bungalows were but this lace is worth the money

Vi havde 6 dejlige afslappede dage her. Am Samui placering er perfekt grundet de rolige omgivelser og den lille nærmerst private strand. Personalet er utrolig venlige, imødekommende og hjælper gerne med transport og bookinger. Maden er ikke fantastisk, men er okay. Der er mange andre små restauranter i nærheden.

Tres bien pour se reposer, la piscine remplace la mer quand elle est basse, indispensble par cette chaleur L hotel nous a reserve une sortie en mer au parc d Hang Tong, tres belle reserve naturelle mais il vaut mieux eviter ces gros bateaux a touristes, ils gachent le plaisir

The Am Samui is an older resort with a charming postcard like ambiance. It is very relaxing and feels timeless and separate from the rest of the world. The room was old and had some minor issues, and the restaurant service was slow. However, the room felt nice, and the food was quite good.

Chose this hotel because near lipa noi pier maybe 15 minutes. Having a motorcycle is a must to explore. Beautiful beach, pool, & rooms. Some rooms have very unique bathrooms with stones & open roof showers. Glad we stayed!!

Wir haben ein Standard-Bungalow gebucht. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, aber ausreichend. Durch zahlreiche Fenster, wird das Zimmer mit Sonnenlicht erhellt. Die Klimaananlage funktionierte einwandfrei. Jedoch ist es im Badezimmer sehr heiß. Freunde hatten die gleiche Zimmer-Kategorie gebucht und bei denen war das Bad zum Teil nicht überdacht. Geduscht wurde da unter Sternenhimmel. Das ist sehr ungewöhnlich, dennoch war das Badezimmer sehr schön mit seinem gewissen Charme. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich abgelegen, sodass man sich unbedingt einen Roller (das ist auch im Hotel möglich) mieten sollte. Dafür befindet sich das Hotel direkt am Strand, von dem man eine tolle Sicht über das Meer hat, da man am Horizont zahlreiche Umrisse kleinerer Insel sehen kann. Das Wasser ist klar, jedoch ist das Schwimmen hier eher schwieriger. Die ersten 20 Meter bis ins Wasser sind extrem steinig, das tat sehr weh an den Füßen. Wir sind zum Teil mit Schuhen ins Wasser gegangen. Aber wenn die Steine erstmal überwunden sind, ist dort schöner Sandboden. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel viele Pluspunkte (Sauberkeit, Freundlichkeit, direkter Strand), aber auch in unseren Augen ein paar Minuspunkte (abgelegen, Baden im Meer ist schwierig). Wir fanden den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm, würden dieses Hotel aber nicht nocheinmal buchen. Wer sich entspannen möchte, ist in diesem Hotel genau richtig!

Le lieu est trés beau, la plage donne plein ouest, idéal pour admirer le coucher de soleil. Par contre pas de fond et des coraux donc pour se baigner ce n'est pas la meilleure plage de l'île. Mais pour bronzer et se relaxer au calme c'est superbe. Les chambres sont confortables, le personnel sympa même s'ils ne parlent pas super bien anglais. L'hôtel est dans un coin calme, il faut un moyen de transport, évitez le taxi qui est super cher, louez un scooter ou une voiture pour vous déplacer. Si le petit-déj' n'est pas extraordinaire (3 choix quand même), les plats du restaurant sont bons, pas de souci. Il y a une piscine, c'est sympa. Un bel endroit pour une retraite au calme sur la plage. Les fêtards préfèreront être à Lamai ou Chaweng pour l'animation car ici c'est loin et calme. Il y a des avantages et des inconvénients!

Great rooms. We originally booked for 2 nights in the beachfront bungalows which if you enjoy a 180 degree view of the sea and the sunset, etc is great. Not much privacy though. We enjoyed the resort and location so much (and the comparative value for money) that we stayed for an extra 4 nights in one of the deluxe bungalows. If you have a choice of deluxe bungalows, A10 is one of the best. The quality of the restaurant food was excellent and so was the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Walk down the beach and find some alternative dining options if you wish. Peaceful, friendly and good value

Nach 3 Tagen haben wir das Hotel Am Samui Resort wieder verlassen. Wir hatten ein tolles Hotel für eine ruhige Woche erwartet. Was wir hier vorgefunden haben entsprach leider absolut nicht unseren Vorstellungen! Empfangen wurden wir recht unfreundlich, da wir keine Buchungsnummer vorlegen konnten. Nachdem wir dann doch einen Bungalow beziehen konnten, gingen wir später zum Abendessen. Wären wir aßen konnten wir Hunden dabei zusehen, wie sie 5 Meter weiter gegen Bäume pinkelten und an den Strand machten. Nicht besonders appetitlich. Diese Situation konnte man Jedem Abend beobachten. Ebenso waren die Tischdecken stets vom Vorgänger verdreckt und nicht gewechselt worden. Als wir eines abends in unseren Bungalow kamen, hatte es sich ein Gecko wohl nicht mehr vergeben können und uns aufs Bett gemacht. Widerlich!!!! Preisleistung stimmen hier absolut nicht. Die niedrigen Zimmerpreise holt sich das Resort durch hohe Restaurantpreise sowie einer Servicepauschale (die man sonst auf der ganzen Insel in keinem Restaurant bezahlt) wieder. Das Personal duldet keine Kritik, versteht dann plötzlich kein Englisch mehr und lächelt alles weg. Absolut enttäuschend! Beim Auschecken hat uns dann nochmal ordentlich der Schlag getroffen, was wir noch alles bezahlen mussten. So wurde aus dem geplanten günstigen Resorturlaub ein teurer Spaß. Zum Glück haben wir nach 3 Tagen die Notbremse gezogen und sind gegangen. Am Samui nie wieder!!!!
