Anavana Beach Resort

作为新春全家出游的选择，poppies基本达到了我们的期许。入住时，房间靠近马路，晚上噪音不少。但James竭尽所能为我们更换了房间，让我们非常感动。酒店的各项设施都很不错。最让我们惊喜的一是酒店的餐厅服务特别是早餐极其出色，二是酒店员工都乐于助人，服务态度都极为优秀，三是酒店整体环境很好，闹中取静，能在苏梅岛日益嘈杂的环境中找到这样一片小屋实属不易。当然也略有不足，一是随着苏梅岛的发展，24间房的差距可是显现，明显前后排的入住体验还是有很大差距的。二是服务还是以欧美标准为主，对于日益增加的中国游客需求可能还没能适应，全店没有会说中文的员工，年夜饭的套餐也不太适合中国客人的需求，明显不如酒店原有套餐吸引人。三是由于接待量有限，有时提出一些要求也无法一时满足，比如只能2人，不能3人同时做按摩等等。不过相信在James的带领下，poppies会保持现有水准，越来越好。

This place is a little slice of heaven on the Koh Samui Beach. The bungalows are excellent with very comfortable beds.The bathrooms are unique, stylish, and all amenities. The on property restaurant serves amazing foods of both Asian and western influence with an amazing breakfast. Then there is the spa that has amazing massage therapists. I'd swear thwy have magical hands! Nataya is the absolute best! There is a slight language barrier, but Google Translate is your friend. Overall amazing and we already have plans to return next year!

Great location, the hotel was amazing, bungalows were outstanding and staff were lovely. Everything was so clean and pristine, literally paradise. Absolutely loved it.

It is an amazing place. So well done in the middle of the chaos of Koi Samui. The beach is perfect. The pool wonderful. The staff is fantastic. The restaurant is perfect. The breakfast buffet was bountiful. The room was the best. Great shower and bathroom. Book it!!! If only it wasn’t half a world away, I go there over and over again.

Das Anavana Beach Resort ist eine Ruheoase am südlichen Chaweng Beach. Die 24 Cottages verteilen sich in einer beeindruckend tropischen, grünen Gartenanlage mit hohen Bäumen, Palmen und einem Bachlauf. Man hört lediglich die Vögel und Zikaden. Vom ansonsten sehr belebten Ort bekommt man gar nichts mit. Dennoch findet man vor dem Hotel alles was man braucht an Restaurants, Massagesalons und shops (7/11, Obststände) in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Strand ist traumhaft: weitläufig, weißer Sand und kristallklares Wasser. Kein Müll, keine Wassersportler, Menschenmassen oder Animationslärm. Die Cottages sind sehr sauber und mit viiiel Liebe zum Detail im thailändischen Stil eingerichtet. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die absolut, freundlichen und fröhlichen Mitarbeiter. Sie leisten eine beeindruckende Arbeit in allen Bereichen. Wir hatten acht traumhafte Tage und können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen für alle, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen.

Beautiful property with cute cottages and a gorgeous beach! We were very impressed by their customer service, outstanding food, free entertainment and the beautiful grounds. Definitely will return here!

I really enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The hotel has lovely grounds with private bungalows and it's right on the beach. There's everything you need outside on the main street: restaurants, bars, massage shops, 7/11, ATM, pharmacy etc and the daily night market is walkable or just a short ride away. Friendly and helpful staff especially at reception and in the restaurant (Lek in particular). I had several massages at the hotel spa - the first one was terrible and actually injured my back (the worst in 30 years or getting massages) but all the rest were with Nattaya who was excellent. The main gripe I have is on the cleanliness of the beach. Chaweng beach is lovely with soft sand and clear water but if it's a bit rough overnight then a lot of rubbish/plastic washes up on the beach. This is not the fault of the hotel, of course, but they were slow, reluctant even, to clean it up. I was at breakfast every day by 7am (good Thai choices btw) and the beach guy at the next hotel was already cleaning up and putting out the sunbeds for guests. Not so at this hotel to the extent that I and other guests cleared the rubbish ourselves one day, and the following day when I asked the beach guy here if he was going to clear the rubbish he said 'maybe this afternoon'. I complained to Lek and lo and behold a short while later the beach was cleaned, it took them about 20 mins to do it. It was a mystery to me that the beach team here didn't look after it better.

The hotel is just stunning with it's beautiful tropical garden and atmosphere. The staff is just amazing and so friendly and attentive! This place made our anniversary to a unforgettable time. Thanks so much to the manager and staff and the very warming welcome and stay in this wonderful hotel resort! We will definitely come back again. Marcel & Guido

Super dejligt hotel med meget venligt personale

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Anavana Hotel on our way back to Singapore from Koh Phangan. This beautiful beachfront property is surrounded by lush gardens, and the traditional bungalows are charming and well-maintained, offering a cozy and authentic experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our short stay more enjoyable. We especially loved the delicious margaritas and the relaxing massage place just across the street—a perfect way to unwind. Breakfast was okay (French toast/pancakes weren’t great), and could have included more variety of food options. FYI there were quite a few mosquitoes, so we were constantly spraying ourselves with insect repellent. Other feedback would be to help guests rent scooter bikes, so they don’t have to lend their passports to dodgy scooter companies on the street. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend Anavana to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront escape in Chaweng beach.

Excellent hôtel avec un personnel serviable, souriant et très attentionné. Une corbeille de fruits, un petit cadeau de bienvenue et tout le nécessaire contre les moustiques nous attendaient dans la chambre. Magnifique jardin desservant la vingtaine de cottages, chacun avec une belle terrasse à l’abri des regards. Lits très confortables, chambre spacieuse avec un beau coin salon, salle de bains très agréable. L’hôtel est au calme , en bordure de plage avec des transats en nombre suffisant, la piscine est belle,et si vous vous levez tôt, vous pourrez voir des écureuils sauter d’arbre en arbre. L’hôtel est proche de tous les commerces tout en étant dans un écrin préservé. Allez-y en toute confiance.

The room was really great! We love the cottage concept, while still maintaining the luxurious feeling. The staff are friendly and speak (relatively) good English. The whole place was serene, although it was full of bird chirps in the morning. The location is also the best, it was really peaceful to go for a walk on Cha Weng Beach in the morning or evening. It was close to a lot of cool places and even inches away from a Seven-Eleven. However, we also note a few things during our 6-night stay. The food was not as good, considering the price. The pool was spacious, but they didn’t have a lot of space to put the sunbeds (they put us in an “awkward” position because the normal ones were taken). They also don’t have a roof on the outdoor walk, so it was a bit inconvenient when it rained (I read the other’s review here and they complained about the same thing, so I think it’s about time they do something with this...). During our checkout process, they also didn’t have an EDC machine, so we could only pay by cash.

Really lovely stay. We relaxed in this little oasis for 7 days during Christmas and we really had a great time. The little bungalow are very spacious. Bathroom is amazing. Bed super confortable. We rented scooters across the road as soon as we arrive to have complete freeedom. The restaurant was super good and breakfast was perfect. Great omelette..:) I think the private beach is one of the nicest with natural shadow from the trees. What is amazing is how close you are from the Main Street for dinner, shopping and massage and you can’t hear anything at all. I wanted to be not too far from the activities and also a bit further away to relax and I am glad I stayed there. Finally the team working here is just amazing and the night they organised for Christmas Eve was really outstanding. Overall I enjoyed my stay a lot..:) Thank you everyone

Our stay at Anavana was lovely. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. There were also a few activities on at the hotel that were free to participate in. A few cultural dances, mini cooking class and krathong making which we really enjoyed. It was lovely to get involved in the culture. We would definitely recommend a stay at Anavana

What was not to like? One of if not the best on Chaweng or Koh Samui. I read hundreds of reviews of hotels with 5 stars which were poor. This hotel is not one of those. It is brilliant. Great staff, great rooms, brilliant location and at the best beach. Rooms are spacious, Spa brilliant, food very good with enough breakfast options, happy hour with Pong, lovely beach with comfy beds, staff are fantastic. It is not 5 star but it packs a lot of punch. We as a family loved it and we were sceptical prior. Go on and book this.
