Gotum Hostel 1

The only thing is the mattress were really hard. By chance we were only 2 in the room so we used other blankets to cover the mattress.

The staff are very friendly

Hotel is in Phuket town, a little far from patong beach but if you are looking to explore the heritage sites Phuket town is the place to be. Gotum hostel is located in Thalang Rd! Pls email them after you have booked them cus, now the Gotum 1 is under construction so only your booking will most likely be upgraded to Gotum 2. One of the staff is very helpful who is also able to speak english. Other than that, 2 of the staff wasn't so fluent but still helpful. ALSO FOR THE LOCKER BRING YOUR PAD LOCK! when i went it didn't have pad lock to lock my belognings. Thank god I didnt have expensive stuff and I had the whole drom to myself so I didn't have to worry. Other than that value for money, room is clean and mattress may be abit hard but its all good man. I recommend it!

Me and my girlfriend are currently travelling for 6 months. We booked here as a hostel it looked nice and had good reviews, also was a very good price! We got there and straight away they upgraded us to a private room, which was amazing and totally unexpected! The rooms were lovely and clean, a bit small but wasn't a problem at all! The area is lovely, not much to do but we got taxis to patong and other places for a very low cost! The restaurants around here were amazing though! Our favourite was only a few doors down called kopitium! The town is nice and quiet and feels very safe! It's also pretty, especially at night as the street our hostel is on is lit up with different coloureds lights! However the best thing about our stay was the extremely helpful staff, they were amazing! We booked a boat trip one day and accidentally gave them the wrong address the lovely woman who works in the shop downstairs let us use her phone to contact them! Then the company were very late to pick us up, so a couple of them rang to check when they were getting there and when they got here checked it was the right people for us! They also sorted out our taxi for us to the airport and gave us a voucher that nearly halved our fare. We had a lovely stay in Phuket, and this was mainly down to the amazing staff! Thank you for everything!

They moved us to Gotum 2 around the corner but it was really nice. The man at the desk was really helpful when I needed them to help me out with a day tour booking. Clean room, good spot close to/on the main streets. Overall a great stay.
