Terrible hotel seems like the hotel has never heard of the term renovation they could really actually desperately are in need of it. Freezing cold water in the pool. Just overall horrible hotel DO NOT RECOMMEND.

It was an older hotel so it needed some work but it had a pool and a gym. It also had a nice breakfast as well. I liked it even though it wasn't super clean.

I didn’t feel safe . My bed sheets had stains. The staff was not sure if the pool was cleaned and ready for use. I couldn’t stay the night because I didn’t feel safe side doors were open

When we got our room it smelled like it was a smoking lounge and it seemed that the cleaning staff tried to cover it up by put carpet deodorizer on the carpet but never vacuumed it up. The good thing is we were able to have our room changed to a clean room but 2 doors down there was a barking dog that wouldn’t stop until about 11pm. The restaurant that’s in the location was meh at best and a few of the items on the menu were not available. Needless to say that the menu had one page of items so if you can go elsewhere to eat. The waitress was nice but everything was slow moving. The breakfast was good and a bonus was the make it yourself waffles. All in all it was ok but I’d go somewhere else next time.

The property upon entry smelled as if the carpets had been wet for days. The beds in my room squeaked from the slightest movement. The TV/streaming service did not work when we first arrived and again during the last day; it did work for the middle of my time at the hotel. The bathroom door stuck to the point you had to kick the door or yank on it to open. At one point I had to check to see who was knocking on my room door and there was tissue paper stuck in the peek hole of the door. The tub did not drain appropriately during our showers, and we were literally standing in a few inches of water (dangerous). I will say though, the front desk staff was helpful and courteous at all times. Overall, the money I spent could have gone to a more upscale hotel and put me closer to Yale University (the reason I was in town)/

The entrance lobby was bright and welcoming, and the young lady on reception (8/4/25) was pleasant and welcoming. The room was nice and clean although walls are paper thin and air con is quite loud but the swimming pool needs some attention. The sign says shower before entering, but the shower didn't work. The paint is flaking off the pool, and the cloudy water didn't make for a great experience. Overall, a pleasant stay, however, the thing that spoiled it was, despite being a no smoking hotel, the stench of weed in the hotel corridors and particularly from one room. We mentioned this on check out and were told that although it's a no smoking hotel, sometimes guests break the rules. Shocked by the response and the fact that staff seemed neither surprised, concerned, or willing to deal with the issue. Perhaps the occupant was a long-term hotel resident, but they are spoiling your other good hotel.
