I was quite pleased with my room at Hello Broadway (chic executive). There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and groceries around to get snacks and close to nice shopping options. I really liked having the kitchenette and could have easily cooked my own meals as there were plenty of kitchen utensils. It was a cute micro-apartment and it took me a few minutes to settle in and feel right at home. I plan on staying here on my next trip to NY.

The studio was clean and all furniture and appliances appeared new. The bed was comfortable, which is important for me. Just all very squished. I only stayed one night and would go crazy if I was stuck in there any longer. Location is incredibly convenient to Penn Station, only a four minute walk. There's a full kitchen with a fridge, but I wouldn't do anything more than bring leftovers back. There's a tiny table and two folding chairs so you can sit, but you're squished.

Horrible experience . Management was awful, no communication , very unprofessional, the room had a bunch of issues which the management disregarded when I brought it up, actually I was ignored . I encountered many inconveniences due to their lack of support . Front desk was empty when a fire broke out on the 8th floor due to someone probably doing something illegal.. worst experience ever. Not staying there again! Also, cigarette smells coming in from the walls/bathroom, thin walls and broken amenities. And no credit or apologies for anything. This place is run down Bc of poor management . And drug dealers right outside the door ! Crazy!

The worst experience I’ve had in a hotel stay. WOW! From the moment I was charged, it was a mess. First I had made two reservations, each for a week but had provided two different cards since it was two of us Splitting the bill. Well, The person who charged our bill decided to charge the whole amount on one card, messing my friends account all up, And did so without even calling me first to verify. That was the first problem we encountered not even having arrived yet. Next, we arrive to the room, all looked in place until one of the shelves to hold clothes collapsed almost hitting me in the head. Next morning, we noticed the sink in the bathroom was clogged, the outlet in the bathroom had no power and part of the stove had technical issues. Oh and the room gets really hot and the fans were broken . So I made a list and went downstairs to tell management but no one was available or present , I was advised to call the phone number provided on one of the doors. I called the person, they declined my call and texted me saying they couldn’t talk, but That I can communicate via text. So I explained my issues, they said someone would come by in the morning to take a look to resolve my issues-no problem. Okay. Day went by, I received no calls, txts or anyone coming by my suite. 3 days went by and still nothing-meanwhile I was still having these issues in the room. Long story short, I spent two weeks w the issues, nothing got resolved. Horrible Experience and management .

Well, I NEVER leave reviews, but this one is much needed. The pictures are very deceiving, however it was exactly what we needed. Not what we wanted, but what we needed. We stayed in "The Lovely Suite", and it was literally 100 sq ft, and had a 40 sq ft bathroom attached. However, it was absolutely perfect. We needed a place to keep our belongings, a place to sleep, and a place to shower. This was perfect. Great location, across from the Empire State Building. Walking distance to everything, and very secluded. If you're looking for a 5 star luxury hotel, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a cozy little space to call home for a few days, stay here. I would definitely do it again, for the right occasion. They definitely get a 5 star review from me.

Door Guard barely acknowledge our existence. Received very poor directions on how to get to a room, numbering system was bad and it took us 10 minutes to find our room after going down every hallway. Also the hallways all smell of urine. Once we did find our room it was small but expected of a New York room. The sheets looked questionable even though the room overall was pretty clean. The redeeming quality for this hotel was its location, it was very close to all the main attractions of Manhattan.

Check-in wasn’t a thing. I received an envelope with my key and a welcome letter. Upon arriving to my room, I inserted the key and tried to open the door, but the handle wouldn’t budge. After attempting this for the next 10 minutes, I gave up and went downstairs to get help. The gentleman who “checked me in” came with me to get the door open. He inserted the key, and “presto”, it opened. He didn’t tell me that I had to turn the key both ways to unlock both the deadbolt and the door handle... The room itself was decent. The bed was thin, pillows were full. The bathroom was a little uncomforting. The tile was broken up a little. The shower floor was disgusting, and the shower curtain was dangling off the wall. The next morning I was rudely awakened by the sound of drilling and banging! This lasted for about 2 hours before I lost it completely! As I was getting ready to go downstairs to make a complaint, a hotel attendant knocked on the door, asking if I could come downstairs to check in. Apparently, the hotel doesn’t do check-ins at 8:30pm. I told him that before I come down, please do something about the noise! He said he couldn’t do anything because it was another company hired by a different owner of the apartments nearby in the same hallway. I came downstairs to see if I could get answers as to why I was woken up, and there were no notices of renovations. I checked out of the hotel that morning.

We cancelled our reservation as soon as we saw the room. It was a tiny, dim cubicle with double bunk beds, no closet, and no bureau that bore no resemblance to the apartment pictured on the web site and described in the manager's email. There were only a couple of outlets overloaded with extension cords. The "complete kitchen" consisted of a hot plate and a sink. No fire safety instructions on back of door. The room also reeked of disinfectant. The building was a maze of narrow corridors with lax security (no guard at front desk, doors open to busy street, lots of foot traffic). It appeared to be under renovation but no permits or other signage were posted. Unfortunately we had booked a prepaid 9-day stay. The manager has refused to refund a penny even though we spent less than an hour in the room. We have filed complaints with Expedia, the Better Business Bureau, the NYC Inspectional Services Department, and are also seeking redress through our credit card company.

The only positive thing I have to say about this room is the location,It was a great location in midtown, close to everything. The photo of the apartment is misleading and I don't think it was the room we got. We booked for 5 adults and it was way to small and very uncomfortable.We had to keep our suitcases under the bed as there was no floor space.The kitchen facilities were minimal, 1 frypan had no handle and the other had a very loose handle, the one time we tried to cook the smoke alarm went off as there was no ventilation, The toilet system also got blocked and required plunging.

Arriving was good, we had good contact to staff to guide us to hotel and get installed. Room was quite smaller than expected from pictures, but WiFi was good and bathroom was good. Beds were not the cleanest we have seen and space was very limited. But location right between 5th and Broadway and 10 minutes walk from Penn Station is perfect.

Basically, it can't officially be called a hotel as there was no proper signage though it is quite conveniently located. No hotel staff is helping the guests if check-in is done outside office hour (9am-6pm) who could only come to the security guard for collecting the room key for late check-in. There was only 1 room key provided to the guests which caused much inconveniene to us. Take me as an example, we had 3 people living in a room but only 1 key was given to us. Since we did not stay together all the time, we had no choice but left the key to the morning security guard who helped pass it to my roommate if they came back to hotel earlier than us. As the journey of my roommate was delayed, he did not pick up the key. When we came back to hotel at night to claim the key, the security guard on duty could not locate it. The person in charge of our room did not answer despite our repeated calls and thus we kept waiting for over 30 mins at the lobby with totally no way out. We finally got the spare key after we successfully contacted the morning guard who told that he had passed the key back to the office, thinking we were checking out the hotel in the morning. The communication is bad as well as our experience. Another 2 areas that guests may need to think before booking this hotel 1. there was no change of clean towels during our 7 days stay in the hotel 2. the lift was terribly old slow and could not function well
