If you're looking to stay in a hotel in the Bronx, this is where you want to stay. A look around the area may lead you to believe that this place would be mediocre at best, but you couldn't be more wrong.
This hotel is nice and clean, the staff friendly and courteous, and the rooms comfortable. I appreciate how the front door locks after 9pm, and you have to use your keycard to enter. There's someone at the front desk 24/7, and they even have luggage carts and a storage room if you're a bit early and can't check-in yet.
There was a bottle of water in the room waiting for me, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and firm, the water pressure was great, and my room had one of the hardest working mini fridges I've ever seen in a hotel room.
The buffet breakfast was delicious and they had a good system for ensuring everyone had an opportunity to eat before breakfast ends. They have a gym, vending machine, ice maker, and wifi. I didn't get an opportunity to go to the rooftop, but just knowing that's an option is really cool. I was on the 1st floor and thought it would be kinda lpud, but other than people walking in/out their rooms, I hardly noticed any noise.
They also have a private parking lot, which costs $30/day. You could chance street parking, but either you'll end up at a meter or somewhere where you have to walk a bit. All in all, a great experience and I would definitely come back again when I'm in the city.
