We enjoyed the stay however some of the towels in the bathroom had questionable things in them when we checked in. The breakfast that was provided was not that great to be honest. We were in the first floor and could hear people on the 2nd floor

Property is overall very dirty. Found lipstick stains and trash from the previous guest on my sheets. No toilet paper or trash bags in the room when I arrived. Elevator looked like it hadn't been cleaned/wiped down in years. Wouldn't stay here again unless necessary.

I loved the smell of cleanliness when I walked in. The lobby was bright and the best microtel lobby I’ve seen this far. However my room was a different story. I was saddened this one didn’t have the window that opened a bit, but not the worst. The air conditioner fan unit did not work and made too much noise so we couldn’t use it, so window would’ve been nice. They also didn’t vacuum the room very well cause I had food bits and things all over the floor. The worst is that they never emptied the bathroom garbage bin and when I went down to get a bag myself to empty it in, they never apologized or offered for housekeeping to come up and take care of it. They also never explained the key to turn on electric in room so I had assumed all outlets didn’t work for the first hour or so until I figured it out. All in all. It wasn’t horrible, but the cleaning staff and appliances should all be down and checked before one checks in.

Beautifully clean, everything in working order and, best of all, a nightlight in the bathroom!! Smartest upgrade they’ve made!!

I usually try to stay at Marriotts because they're always nice but I needed to stay in an area where there wasn't one. I was apprehensive about getting a room that had Micro in its title but it was anything but small. My wife and I were so pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend them.

It was a close location to who we were visiting.

Dirty room

The shower was a roll in for my wife and the hand held head didn't work which made it extremely difficult for my wife to shower.

Our room was smaller than expected for a king suit. There was pet hair coated on the headboard. Our light was blown out and looked burnt next to our bed. The breakfast was alright but never had milk or waffle mix all three days stayed no matter how early. They claimed to have daily housekeeping that was not shown to be true. I’m not satisfied with my stay but it also could have been a lot worse. One thing I have to say is during check out the housekeeping staff were extremely kind, the front desk not so much… improvements could be made. This is not my first stay with this exact hotel and I have had a better stay prior. Im not sure what it was about this stay but I wouldn’t want to book with this hotel again. Lots of little things can add up.

The biggest pro was the price. There was hair on the bathroom floor, no toilet paper or tissue in the bathroom, trash in the trash can, and a bug in the bed (not a bed bug, but I had to Google to confirm). The bed was comfortable (I did not sleep on the one where I found the bug). The shower was hot and the water pressure was good. The WiFi would have been faster if it was dial up. I had to try to upload a file for work at 2 Mbps.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were so poor that we went out for breakfast after the first morning (high carbs including dry bagels). When we arrived, there was hair in the tub, on the toilet, and on the bathroom floor. The carpet needs to cleaned! The toilet seat was really loose. The floor in the elevator was filthy, but was mopped the second day. The bed was comfortable. Our AC was always too cold or too hot. It would turn off in the night and whenever we left and came back.

Very nice clean newish motel. Want to particularly shout out all the staff and the manager at the Microtel in Macedon, we felt all of you had a great attitude, work ethic, and showed kindness to us weary travelers. Keep up the good work, it is very much appreciated.

Overall great place to stay. Did have some inconvenience as breakfast area equipment broke down a few times during our stay. Only complaint is in the design of some features. Bathroom towel hooks are too low and allow towels to touch the floor. And the room presence detection turned off A/C many times overnight.
