They have designated “pet” rooms and they arent as well maintained as the non pet rooms but thats understandable. Overall the place has a comfortable vibe. I do wish they had AC because with the amount of smokers and people doing drugs, leaving the window open isnt an option. Getting rid of the smokers and addicts would definately make this place better.

It was ok for a quick little road trip to introduce 2 doggos to the ocean. Beds were comfortable, didnt like plastic lined pillows . Wish we had more towels . Two large two wash cloths and a bath mat.towels had a big clump of black hair stuck to it.towel rack on wall was hanging off , tub has a chunk missing from inside.refrigerator kind of stunk and not so cold . Screen on window was bent and pops off. So no leaving window open while you sleeping . Was hoping for ground floor especially with pets to take out early mornings to potty and hand rail to stair case was loose . All in the gal at front desk was very friendly. Oh never seen a maid for more clean towels.

The room was dirty. Stains on the sheets. Some kind of stains in the bathtub. The shower head was literally taped to the wall. There was only one working light in the whole damn room. All the lamps had no lightbulbs. Unfortunately we were too tired to complain the night we came in and were only there the one night.

Very nice room for just myself. Loved the updated paint job. Huge room and King bed. Lovely staff as well.

For the price it was fine. Definately could use some repairs and upkeep.

Okay rooms. Dirty linens. Very old and out dated rooms. 1980's modeled and painted. Shower was difficult to adjust water temperature. A lot of traffic noise. No air conditioning. So, opening the 1 widow made it to noisy to sleep.

Newly renovated…quick and easy stay

We got upgraded to a nicer room since ours wasn't ready when we arrived. The receptionist was really sweet as well. We stayed for one night and it was nice. There were a few issues that were out of the staff's control like people smoking pot and being loud in the rooms but otherwise it was great. If they tighten up on the pot smoking in and around the rooms the stay would be more comfortable but the staff can't control everyone. Overall the stay was great on the part of the hotel!

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was newly remodeled. Owner/manager was friendly. The room smelled. No screen on window. Dead bolt does not work. Pot smoking from whoever / wherever filled the room. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Room was under renovation. Tv did not work for 3/4 days that we stayed. There was no air conditioning but a base board heater and the door barely shut completely and had to use the deadbolt to shut completely. The counter in the bathroom was not thoroughly bolted or braced to the wall and if someone were to lean on it, it would have completely collapsed. I had to wipe down the counters in the bathroom and the room for dirt and dust. The rooms face the busy highway and noise from the street is loud. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and events. I would stay again if their renovations were done.

We needed a safe comfortable and affordable place to stay as we had to return my child to job corps in nearby Yachats. This motel was the perfect fit for us. The hotel staff was friendly and patient as were ran very late for check in. It was quiet and safe area and we slept very well!

Property is dated but overall clean. Room had some issues with no toilet paper holder, missing deadbolt on bathroom door, and only one outlet usable so had to unplug the lamp to charge both phones. Gentleman was very friendly and attentive. Bed was fine but pillows were very thin. The room was fine for the night but wasn’t a room I would want to hang out in or stay for an extended time. Price was right and worked for what we needed this trip.

The managers Lisa and Brian are super friendly. They are locals and helped us find cool fun spots for the fourth and easy beach access locations. This is a pet friendly spot with no issues, no extra hassle. Lisa let us borrow some camping chairs since we forgot ours in Washington which was nice. For what we paid we are happy. We spent most of our stay out and about but the room included clean towels, sheets, soap etc. Wifi worked and we had no issues whatsoever. Not crazy fancy but clean, secure and friendly.

I called the property and told the fellow on the phone that due to a family emergency, we had to cut our vacation short. This fellow told me he would cancel our reservation and not charge my credit card. When I saw my bank statement, Summer Wind Budget Motel did, in fact, charge me for the whole reservation. Very disappointed!!!

If your limited on cash, it's better than nothing.
