Overall we had a very unpleasant stay there because there are many (thousands) ants in the room. Everywhere from night stand to bathroom. When we complained about this, we didn't receive room-change service or complete/partial refund. Considering how much it costed, I rated the stay as the worst experience ever in my life.

They sold our room out but they update a better room for us which is good

Room had a mold/ stale odor.

Restaurant and bar was goods pool is great proximity to the beach and town is great. Would come back again

We expected better from a Marriott. Beds were hard, pillows were horrible, toiletries in the bathroom smelled awful. We had a hard time sleeping and woke up sore. Paid parking and paid wifi... I don't think I've seen a hotel try to charge for WiFi in 20 years. Four of us registered for our room, but they only gave us three towels. The whole experience was just extremely disappointing.

Great stay next to the beach! Rooms and hotel were beautiful. The duvet wasnt as clean as I would have liked but that was all. Everything was spectacular!

Very clean, comfortable and I liked the couches! Also great new plants by the pool.

I liked the rooms, restaurant, gym and pool. I didn’t like the construction out front.

Stayed for a few days for Anniversary, staff were friendly and helpful! Hotel was nice inside and out. It was a close walk to the beach and close to many restaurants!

The only issue I had was the AC wasn’t working great. It was above 72 the entire time. It felt very stuffy

No complementary food or snacks. Homeless hanging out in parking structure. Needed a bit bigger snack on table

The staff and hotel is my favorite in ALL of z California. I loved it so much I bought a house in the neighborhood! San Buenaventura 💙

The hotel is undergoing renovations and it is quite a mess in the front. The AC has one vent and is blocked by the closet height. The window has no screen and I did not open because the palm tree has bugs so we had to be too hot instead.

In addition to being conveniently located, clean, comfortable with wonderful staff both the hotel and expedia were very accommodating with our constant travel changes. Will always stay here where in the area. Thank you!

I stayed at the Ventura location last weekend with my sister, her puppy, and my daughter. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great view of the courtyard and pool. The courtyard/ pool area was beautifully maintained with flowers and plants. My adult daughter enjoyed the whirlpool each day, though she found the whirlpool to be popular with kids, too. She preferred to wait until the kids got out—didn’t realize kids liked hot tubs that much! We were told about front property construction in advance; it wasn’t noisy. The only eyesore was the overflowing trash can by the circular drive, which wasn’t emptied during our stay. There is a $75 Pet fee and $16/day parking, but parking was easy and close to the lobby. Overall, a pleasant stay—I’d recommend it.
