House keeping needs more improved…

The hotel was leaking water at the front desk. They had trash cans collecting the water. Not a good look, gross. The main lounge and pool was closed. These amenities were the main reason I chose this hotel. No warning was given. Upsetting. The room was clean.

All the hidden fees the manger Don or Dan was terrible. They hold 500.00 on my card and used it up with the hidden fees next to check out they charge me with a spa that I canceled and yet to return my call. The W Fort lauderdale I will never book again

The hotel was beautiful. I loved the pool. Convenient to the beach. The private beach had great service. The music in the lobby was too loud. I loved the bar and grab and go food. When i needed service of any kind it was extremely fast.

We loved our stay and we will be back in December!! One of the best hotels we have stayed in.

I am disappointed in the room location which was over the non working pool so we heard construction throughout the day every day all day in the mornings too. There was not a working pool in our tower.

I specifically booked the W Fort Lauderdale because of the waterfront pool. We booked months in advance and were never informed that the pool would be closed for several weeks leading up to and during our stay. Even at check-in, the woman who assisted us didn’t mention it. We only found out when another guest told us. We also didn’t even learn until the third night that there were activities like morning yoga, because no one gave us the itinerary at check-in. The alternative pool is extremely small, crowded, and sunscreen floats on top and the filtration system clearly isn’t working. The hot tub was filled with children, making it anything but relaxing. On top of that, the secondary pool is blocked by surrounding buildings, so it gets very little sunlight. On a positive note, we loved the wrap-around balcony in our room, and our beach experience was saved thanks to Juan and the other beach staff, including the food and beverage server — they were fantastic. However, when we raised our concerns with management about the pool closure, all they offered was a $75 credit to the pool deck for drinks, but we bd to ask for it and he hesitated. For a property of this caliber, that response felt dismissive. If we had simply been told ahead of time, we could have adjusted our travel dates. Instead, the lack of transparency left us feeling misled. I’ve loved this hotel in the past, but because of how poorly this situation was handled, I would not choose to stay again.

Place is run down, needs a refresh. Not worth the price with resort fees added etc. Ra

To expensive for what they offer Again, pool is closed and lounge is close too. They are still locking the food in lobby in pm Verry disappointed of my stay Sorry but it’s my last time there Difficult to have a smile there …

Me and my family rents at The W for the summer every year. We came here expecting the same experience we had in the past. The pool was under construction the restaurant and lounge was under construction. We had to leave the resort to look for a pool. Overall everything was bad and was very upset

Main pool closed for renovation during Labor Day weekend and we didn’t find that out until check in. One of the elevators wasn’t working so it would literally take 10-15 to call the elevators.

Excellent service

I was disappointed to find out that during our stay we would not have access to the main pool or the main bar "the living room". I always enjoy my stays at W hotels, but these restrictions limited my ability to enjoy this propert. I wish I would have been notified of the ongoing construction prior to booking my stay.

Enjoyed this property and would go back. The balcony was huge!

Our room didn’t have a kitchen, and the lighting was mediocre but other than that it was a BEAUTIFUL property!

It was great! .. the facilities, the room, the ambiance, the sangria at check-in ... Just one detail, it would be better if you mentioned up front that besides the room rate and price, there is an additional $62.15 service charge per night.

We love the pool here! Unfortunalty it was closed for renovation. There was no warning of this during the booking process. The resident pool was open for hotel guest much smaller pool in the back of the building. Needless to say we did not go back there. I don't hate the W, I would have choosen a differnent hotel if i would have known the pool was closed. Next time i will call to make sure all amenities are available.
