Lovely olde worlde hotel with interesting history and excellent location. Right next to the castle which is also worth a visit. Food at breakfast and dinner was excellent too. The only problems are the seagulls which screech all night, steal your ice cream and cover the cars in poo.

Lovely stay, everything you needed. Food was great, evening meal and breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Only down side is the building is dated and there was no fridge in the room.

Very Impressed with The Bulkeley Hotel we could only book a cosy and Comfortable room as the Hotel was full ,better than I thought it was going to be.The evening meal was excellent and so was the breakfast . I would definitely recommend this Hotel to friends and family.

You can see the improvement taking place, as regular visitors we appreciated the return of breakfast service not buffet, decoration especially main entrance and landing etc. Unfortunately the room we stayed in (and have had that room several times previously) needs further updates especially an electric shower and bathroom upgrade. Short staffed in housekeeping so room not cleaned daily etc, despite staff trying their best, this included room not being ready on arrival. We look forward to returning to see more improvements.

Overall, I would say this hotel is slightly over priced. However, that being said the value lies with the staff and location.
The hotel as a whole is pretty decent. (It was) well decorated and kind of feels special.
Although when looking closely, you’ll see a bitt of maintenance is required here and there.
Rooms were spacious and included an ironing board and iron (2 lots actually lol) which I always appreciate.
The location is second to none. The shops and castle one side and the pier/sea the other.
The staff are also top tier. When communicating on e-mail, friendly, considerate and professional.
In person, exactly the same with humour to boot! From the young lads to the older ladies I met - all 10/10 (apologies I didn’t get any names for a shout out).

Staff friendly and helpful. Food was good quality and very tasty. Facilities good and you do expect the odd issue with an old, historic and protected building however the lift being out of order for at least a week (not working when we left) did cause some guests real problems

Lovely staff and location excellent. Hotel a little tired but everything was in the rooms e.g. Kettle, hair dryer etc. Only gave 3 stars as the bed was uncomfortable. It was a memory form mattress around 4 inches so when you sat on the bed you sat straight on the diven hard board.

Second stay at this Beautiful old building with immense character. Love the place. Cheaper rooms are quite basic. But this time treated the with to the Regent suite - stunning room with 4 poster bed. Breakfast was amazing.
Special mention to the young female serving at breakfast. So polite and helpful. And the night time young charming American barman.
Only downside was the lift was broken. Alot of stairs to climb.

This hotel is beautiful and is at an incredible location in Anglesey and is very close by to many lovely parts of Anglesey that you can drive to , walk to or get a local boat such as Puffin island .

For a taste of the past this grand hotel has all the features. Sitting room with big comfy couches, opposite the pier and a few mins walk from the castle. The room was good (we had least expensive)the bath enormous ( shower above) maybe one too many chairs but slept well and breakfast excellent. The restaurant was also very good in the evening and the Bull’s head the other night can be recommended.

Staff very helpful.Lots of places to sit and relax .Car park is small and if you want a space it’s a case of first come first serve first served.The room are very big and ours was lovely,the only complaint was it was really hot in the room although there was a fan provided.Would entertain going again and maybe staying a few days

The hotel is a grand building , however our room was small, dated and old fashioned .
Extremely tiny bath and a shower with a curtain!!
We went for a drink at the bar however, after waiting a while still no bar tender so left .
The breakfast was a little chaotic as the hot plate was broken but when it arrived it was tasty and plentiful .
There are lots of guests with multiple dogs so if you aren’t a dog lover this hotel is not for you .

We stayed for 3 nights from Sunday to Wednesday over the May Bank holiday with our dog. We have stayed here before and we thoroughly enjoyed or stay every time. The hotel, rooms and communal areas are always spotless - the reception staff, bar staff and cleaning staff are very helpful and accommodating. I heard that the hotel was under new management (hence some renovations around the hotel) and was worried that it might lose its ‘old world charm’ and historical reminders around the hotel; I hope this doesn’t happen.
Our only gripe was with breakfast on the first morning (Bank Holiday Monday). We had booked to have breakfast in the lounge where dogs are allowed at 9.15. We came down to find there was no room for us; we were allowed in the Llewelyn Suite where there was a table with a cloth on. The waitress brought us tea and toast - I had to go into the main restaurant to find a tray, milk (no jugs), sugar, butter etc. a waiter did help me and brought them in on a tray - by this time the tea and toast was cold! It was unusually busy and the staff did apologise. The two mornings after that, a table was set up with everything already on the table.
Everything else was perfect!

Great location but parking can be a problem. A lot of dogs, to the extent that dog owners have a separate bar and restaurant.
Do book in the other restaurant in advance to be sure of getting a table when you want it. It’s the best place to eat in town and the staff are lovely. Getting a drink in the bar after dinner proved too difficult.

Faded Victorian excellence trying to satisfy today's tourists and not quite managing it (building is over 190 years old). Our double room was more like a single room. Buffet breakfasts Ok, dinners no more than average. Car parking difficult!
