The location of this hotel is ideal; just a couple of blocks from Rideau Street & Rideau Centre Station; it is also adjacent to the picturesque Byward Market area and Byward is adjacent to Parliament Hill with all the beautiful historical buildings associated with the seat of Canadian national government. Plenty of food options. The onsite restaurant is basically a Starbucks subcontractor. Breakfast was adequate but uninspired, only marginally better than fast food options McD's or Tim Hortons. Room refrigerator was nice but no microwave in the room a minus; there was a communal microwave near the front desk which is better than nothing I suppose. Doors locked 24/7, key access required or ring the bell if you have a reservation and need to check in. Looks like ample parking on the premises but I did not drive here but took the O-train from the airport (YOW). I did not touch the climate control in the room but it was fine; however it was only in C and I did not see an option to flip it to F like I have experienced in other Canadian hotels in Calgary and Edmonton.
