A very bad experience. Upon entering the room, I found that the air conditioning was not working, and the room was extremely hot, with the temperature close to 90 degrees. I contacted the front desk, who sent an engineer to fix it. After checking, the engineer said it could not be repaired and even mentioned it was strange, because the AC in this room had already been reported broken in the morning—so why was it still assigned to us?
I contacted the front desk again to request a room change, but they said all rooms were fully booked and refused to switch us. The only options offered were a refund so I could find another hotel myself, or to contact Expedia for assistance.
As a Hilton Honors member, it was very disappointing. Even though I booked through Expedia, I ended up having to pay a much higher rate than usual to stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The whole process took over two hours and more than an hour on the phone. Extremely disappointing.
