We paid almost $300 to stay here for the Barrie triathlon, which is a ridiculous price for tired, worn hotel. The bed was sagging in the middle, shower curtain was yellowed at the bottom. Even the coffee cup lids didn’t fit the cup. The staff are pleasant. The hotel is not great.

The rooms were decent and the pool was too the problem was the pool didn’t open until 10 am on departure day and even then they continued to say it was delayed opening for half hour then another half hour. Disappointed for the kids. The stair going upstairs were unsafe and hard to see they need high visibility strips.

Went to check in at 2:30pm but was told to come back at 3pm, which was totally fine as we were told they were still cleaning. The room smelled like old cigarettes and we actually found cigarette butts under the one bed. There was no hot water for a shower the next day.

Front staff were pleasant and accommodating. Original room offered was on 2nd floor but no elevator. Had to ask for a room on first floor as we were unable to do stairs. Front area very clean. Breakfast lineup had many choices. Pool was very cloudy and overly chlorinated. Water burned skin. Temp of pool was perfect. Hot tub too scary looking to get in. Room Bathroom was very dark, very dated, and really tiny. Cloth shower curtain had scum on bottom and yellow to brown coloured when top had was dingy white. The tub was slippery with a slimy texture. Walls in shower were scary to touch. The towels were yellow in colour when should have been white. Even took them to different lighting to look at incase it was just the very dim lighting in bathroom. Bed sheets and covers that should have been white were so dingy. The mattress on one of the beds had a hollow the springs had collapsed on side closest to the night table. My sister could not get a proper sleep. The black out curtain had a white dried substance smeared on it. And overall the room had a bad odour. Pictures online did not match the reality of the situation Needless to say we will never stay there again.

The facility is older, they maintained it. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub. The breakfast was good. The towels provided were worn. Our room keys got deactivated on day 2 for our 3 day stay.

Very dirty... Not helpful staff.

It was overall a okay hotel to stay at, although my daughter got a skin infection due to improper maintenance of the hot tub. It had green/yellow foam on the top and numerous visitors had trouble breathing in it but my daughter has had fungal growth on be neck that appeared the next day after a “ relaxing “ night in the pool. We also noticed the carpet left your foot black which was not very pleasant. The staff was amazing though very kind to the children and shut the pool down for 3 days after they realized it was contaminated It’s a shame they don’t have. Staff member do routine check ups to avoid little ones getting infection from pool.

The property was fairly clean and well maintained, the staff was helpful with questions and when we required utensils/toilet paper. Our first night was peaceful but the second night was exceptionally loud, other room renters we're loud outside our patio door until 130am. At 430am other clients were screaming down the hall and in the lobby eventually they moved outside but there was no interference from staff that could be heard from the room it was the same voices that started in the hall and moved throughout the main floor. The exterior doors did not have a card only access system and were unlocked throughout the day.

The rooms were gross, not clean mold all over the shower and no hot water.

Room was very dirty…. Black fingerprints on patio doors, remnants left in the toilet, skittles under the bed, blow dryer non functioning, iron won’t hold water, leaks all over clothing and freezer had so much ice frozen inside not to mention ORANGE ice nothing would fit in freezer portion. Front desk staff on check in day said they would get maintenance and rectify concerns. False, that staff member left without informing their replacement. Nothing was rectified. And hotel had the audacity to blame Expedia!

Room was disgusting, hair in sink, dirty tub, the bed smelled like body odor. Pillows all smelled like they were never cleaned. Staff and manager done nothing to accomodate me or offered to change rooms. By far worse hotel I have stayed ever in my decades of traveling. I ended up sitting on the chair and try to fall asleep. Worst night ever. Worse of all I had the hotel reserved for 4 nights and wanted to check out the next day and was told by staff that I was checked out later to find out that the manager refused to check me out. The manager who is NEVER on site and I emailed and left messages numerous times never replied. They did not even offer me to change rooms. Once they have your money they ignore you. Trust me stay down the road at other hotels with friendly staff and most important they clean their rooms. The Days Inn Barrie has taken my money and even after I handed my keys to checkout and having NO access to the room charged me my entire reservation. The staff even lied to my face and said that they offered me a replacement room which was a total lie. She offered me to have house keeping clean my room the following day which was ignorant. Just writing this and thinking of the disgusting room my skin is crawling.

This place is an absolute dump. The beds were full of blood and pee stains. Do not stay here. The refused to do anything about it! They told me they will have the cleaners come the next day. I was only there for the night. It was discussing!!

pool was way too cold to even use and hot tub didn’t work which is the main reason why i book this hotel. overall wouldn’t recommend.

Clean rooms, bathroom needs a bit of an update.

The curtains in my room were broken, there was an electrical outlet with no cover plate (thank goodness I didn’t have my kids) the trim was falling off and the towels and bedding were yellow. The staff were friendly.
