Excellent stay

We love this hotel and always stay here when in Montreal. It is easy to walk to many plqces of interest and the Metro station is only one block away. A room on a high floor with a city view gives a wonderful look at the city at night.

A great hotel in a good location in Montreal and the staff are excellent.

This place has a cool throwback classic decor without feeling dated. The staff was really friendly and helpful. This hotel projected an air of competence, which you'd think would be automatic at most hotels, but unfortunately can't always be counted on these days all the time. It was a breath of fresh air to just have a hotel be great and solid and dependable and clean and comfortable. We had a great view, a comfortable bed, and the location is excellent. Close to plenty of landmarks and two public transit lines. The only downside was that room service seems to be a bit limited to certain days and times, and there is no in-room coffee or breakfast service even though there is a breakfast downstairs. At a hotel of this level at least some basic options at all times are something I generally expect to be available. That being said, we did get room service for dinner one night and it was very good. Overall, can definitely recommend staying here.

The refrigerator did not work and the ice machine was broken. We valet parked and on the day we checked out, we called for our car and when we got there the valet was putting someone else’s luggage in our car. This was after he had moved everything from our back seat to the trunk area. I showed him our ticket and he apologized for the error. There was a backpack left in the front passenger seat when we got in. The other people thought it was their taxi!! I am glad we did not wait the full 15 minutes for our car.

Staff were awesome. Room was good although for this level of hotel there was no microwave and the quality of the toilet paper was terrible. Absolutely unacceptable. Something I would expect in a highway rest stop.

The lobby reception and doorman service were very attentive. However, the hotel facilities are outdated, and room cleaning service was only average.
