It was quiet & convenient.

Hotel is older building with some updating. Clean, but if you’re bothered by smells you may find the fragrance in the room hard to ignore. Walls are thin—my neighbors kept their TV on all night and even with earplugs and playing soft music to mask it, the TV noise kept me from sleeping. Overall, the hotel was well kept and the staff was friendly.

Comfortable beds. A/C unit was annoyingly loud when it kicked in.

The hotel was decent enough to stay in. But it was outdated and the ceiling seemed to be disintegrating in the pool area. Also was disappointed the hot tub wasn’t working and seem it needs to be replaced.

Everything was fine. Some areas need some updating. Our room was above the pool. The smell was quite strong. We didn’t request pool side. All in all, a good night’s rest.

Very nice but really would like to had continental breakfast .

Property is very old and in need of a grand makeover...not sure how this property was rated 8.8 out 10? To me this is at best a 5.

Staff checking in was kind of rude. Strict dog policy. 40lbs or smaller no aggressive dogs. What does that even mean?

Hotel was fine - a bit run down and the hot tub wasn’t working so that was a bummer but overall it was a decent stay.

Convenient location

The floor in the bathroom the laminate was coming up and I felt it was dangerous so I laid the bath towels on the floor.

The hotel is older but is fine with all of the updates made. It is in a great location - downtown Virginia. Easy walking distance to many locations. I enjoyed the sauna/spa. But was disappointed that the hot tub was not usable. The breakfast options were excellent! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Quick overnight stop

Poor quality for price, beds were not queen sized, rooms only around pool, pool smell very strong, outside doors left propped open.

It was great until I needed to go to my room on the 2nd floor!!! On check-in, a staff carried my stuff to my room & she was great. the problem was when I wanted to go to breakfast, come back up, shower, & then check-out. No elevator was working; door near me was impossible for me to open (loose doorknob & stuck); & the hotel phone in my room didn't work. I was a prisoner in my room. Called the number I had, for reservations only - finally found the local number & got help. But after I got to 1st floor, I had breakfast & checked out. The staff again was great, but my plans had to change because of the elevator issue. (I was in tears when I finally did call the front desk!) Breakfast was good, but never did get my shower. I would have had a hard time walking up the steps even without my bag (they kept it at the desk).

Old part of town, no restaurants

Older building with a newer extension with center courtyard/pool. The parking is in back with little to no parking available to check in. Find parking lot and enter through the rear to access front desk. Renovations to older section in process. Nice breakfast area, but very few choices offered. Coffee/tea, apple/bananas, a few cereals, and microwave egg biscuits from local convenience store. The rooms were nice, clean and in newer condition. The pool area was nice!

The place was quiet and comfortable. Check in was easy.

The Hot Tub was drained and hasn't worked in "quite a while." The pool was heated and nice. Decent breakfast. Right on main street with bars and restaurants. Staff was great. It's a "value" hotel. I wouldn't pay what i did to stay there again.
