Lovely welcome from a member of staff at reception. Clean public areas. The room was clean and comfortable. However, having no aircon in the room was a total negative. If it had been a bit hotter, I would have turned round, taken my luggage with me and asked for a refund. I didn't check reviews before booking at the last minute, and just assumed that a modern hotel such as this one would have aircon in the rooms. No fan. Thankfully the window would open a small distance. Was only staying for one night and getting up early in the morning, so survived. Wouldn't go again- and will be checking carefully when booking hotels in the future.

Changing rooms for pool could be kept cleaner as was hair balls everywhere and bits of rubbish. Room was fab but only wall lights so room was very dull. But overall id definitely come back as the hotel was kept clean in reception and had plenty of options like starbucks and a pub and grill

Great hotel

The rooms are nice and modern no but NO AIR CON, and the widows don't open very far because they have a wire and lock on them to prevent opening to far. The gym is great but again NO AIR CON. The pool area is also great. The bar is good, the staff are really friendly and nice the food and drink is good. Overall a great hotel, but in a heatwave or summer with NO AIR CON is not good for a good night sleep for the price you pay.

Very good facilities, leisure, food and bar. Easy check-in and friendly staff. I would be happy to stay again if it wasn't for the horrendously noisy bedroom doors. Such a shame but worst I've ever come across and just spoils the stay when you keep getting woken up.

Was a good stay, the room i was in was too hot couldnt open the window because the airconditioning units for the rest of the hotel where there, the room is getting tired and could do with a makeover, used the pool area generally good but the changing areas was well used

Used village a lot over the years but the standards seem to be dropping across the board. Stayed at the Cardiff one in Jan and now this weekend and it has gone downhill in the last 6 months. No bin in the room, towels for one person when the booking was for two, dirty desk, questionable stain on the floor next to the bed, tea/coffee tray and cups dirty, filthy and cobwebby tiles in the bathroom, dirty shower, toothpaste around the sink and dirty mirror. Would have asked to change rooms but when checking in another guest was complaining and was told the hotel was fully booked so didn’t bother. Disappointing.

Not a bad hotel but super busy and got some reason is so big and my room was a good 10 minute walk away literally kept getting lost. Is a bit confusing.

everything was wonderful

boiling hot 35 degrees in the room and no air con - staff did get me a new fan that helped circulate warm air around the room - extremely expensive for a basic room

Room was very clean and tidy, nice view, staff was really friendly, lovely staff on arrival, breakfast and the evening meal was lovely

Upon arrival the staff were very friendly in helping us to check in on the touch screen system. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean, with a coffee machine and kettle. We did not use any of the other facilities or have food.
