The rooms were reasonably clean. The beds were comfy and the staff was helpful and friendly. The one restaurant pub was under some kind of renovation and there was dust everywhere in it, so we opted not to eat there. They is another restaurant in the hotel, a Chinese restaurant, but we didn't eat there so I can't say either way what it was like. Overall, the price was definitely reasonable and I would feel comfortable recommending it to people. Next time we go to Victoria though, I will probably stay a little closer to downtown.

Stayed in 2 Double Bed suite with a bedroom & kitchenette. Kitchenette had all essential appliances, allowing us to prep a couple meals in the room. Kids loved the pool.

Was well received by the gentleman at the front desk on August 4th. He stepped it up in getting us into our room earlier than 1:00 pm. That was a huge relief for me since I was up at 5:00 am and six hours later, ready for a nap.... Thank you kind sir at the front desk. Sincerely yours, Leslie Queen

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Facility is getting older but appears to be well maintained and clean. Rooms are unexpectedly well equipped. With comfortable beds. Well located for shopping, restaurants and other experiences We had an excellent 3 day stay and would recommend the Red Lion to others

Surprisingly shabby for $200 a night. The hotel room was fine except for minor needed repairs, but the restaurant bar on site was derelict. The furniture was falling apart, the walls needed painting, there were lights that looked like they hadn’t been dusted or plugged in for years. Lots of pool tables.

Location was good. It would have been better if it had its own breakfast facility, plus do room cleanup (even if it weren't Day 3 of check-in).

When I alerted the reception staff that the room toaster was broken and possibly a fire hazard, it took only one reminder later in the day to have it replaced with a brand new one.

Considering the price we paid, this hotel was very disappointing. It felt more like a hostel or budget lodging than an actual hotel. The rooms were very basic, and there were hardly any amenities, so it definitely wasn’t worth the cost. If you’re only looking for a place to sleep at night and plan to spend the entire day outside, it’s an okay option. But if you’re expecting a comfortable hotel experience with decent facilities, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The bar was a interesting place

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The room was clean, helpful staff, and good location although the sirens from the road were noticable at night. The only draw back was the elevator was too small for our ebikes. The great staff helped us get them to our rooms though.
