We stayed at this inn for 5 days to explore the Halifax area. The convenient location was the best part. There were a few things that made our stay less enjoyable. The walls are very thin and we could hear noise from the hallway, outdoors and upper rooms. There was lots of noise from other guests in the early morning and late evening. The beds were not comfortable as they were too soft. The linens were old and pilling. They also did not make beds or change linens for the whole stay. The fitness room was closed the whole time and the pool was also closed for part of our stay. The breakfast was not very appealing. It was basically toast and a few small apples. Overall, I would not recommend or stay there again.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Steps to second floor could use a good steam vac. Breakfast was underwhelming. On the second floor there was a door that kept slamming. Think there was a cleaning staff room and they were just not mindful of the guests.

Our room was clean and updated, and fresh smelling. The all included. Breakfast was perfect for us with lots of variety and even a menu for gluten-free. The staff were wonderful, helpful and very pleasant.

The rooms were clean and appear recently renovated. The property was tidy. The front staff were not overly attentive and it took about 10 minutes before someone acknowledged my arrival at the front desk when I checked in.

Charged extra for the wheelchair accessible room for the convenience of it being first floor and having a direct drive up access. The drive up access doors however are too high for a wheelchair to access. Also told the roll in shower was a premium upgrade and it was in fact very nice however the height of the bed was so high that a wheelchair user is not able to get into the bed independently. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The extra charges are bordering on discrimination toward wheelchair users.

Clean room, staff was excellent, they even have free movies at the counter. Perfect little swimming pool. There is not one bad thing I could say about this beautiful little Inn. Amazing hospitality. Bigger chain hotels should take some lessons from Coastal Inn to do things the right way :)

Clean , good service.

The staff that checked us in were friendly and efficient. The room was a comfortable size and clean. The public areas of the hotel could have been better maintained with vacuuming and picking up discarded items. The breakfast area cleanliness was okay, but it could have been better maintained by wiping off tables after use, better maintenance of the serving surfaces, and straightening up the food items as they were used by the guests.

Room was clean. Staff pleasant, helpful and responsive to requests (e.g. promptly fixed a TV issue and provided extra towels). Plenty of room for parking and convenient. Breakfast adequate and appreciated access anytime to coffee and hot water. Good location, fairly close to shops and some restaurants and not far from downtown and highways.

Great location, quiet ground floor room on Saturday even with sports teams staying, like the exit to your car outside your room. Great breakfast.

Clean cheaper place to stay in Halifax. Breakfast is not great. Bed was acceptable but not great. Basically a one or two night hotel but don’t expect anything more than a place to sleep. There is a pool if you have kids and it appears to be in good shape but I didn’t use it so really nothing to add there.

The room is clean. Curtains were not fixed, but minor. Wish we could have more utility of the television, all channels were unavailable. But overall, thank you and still will recommend for a quick stay to roam in Halifax. Will come back for sure. Thank you

Would have been nice to have hot options for breakfast

I chose this hotel because I had family at the Hospital and all downtown hotels charged you for parking! I appreciated the microwave and was thrilled to see a tub mat in the bathroom. Decor is somewhat dated and I wish there was a hot option for breakfast but overall I was pleased with the accommodation and the room rate.

We had a great stay for two nights. The staff was over the top helpful and accommodating. There’s a Timmie’s and Wendy’s next door but the path to get there is a bit rustic. Good foot wear is required!

Yes good. Food. Good parking

The location was great and so we're the staff....the furniture, rooms and overall interior were out of date.....get rid of the wall paper in the hallway and lighten up the walls so it does look so dingy. Breakfast was ok lots of options. It does look like they are upgrading or doing Reno's so it's coming along. Price a little on the high side for what is offered. I did get an upgrade but that's probably because there was a big group and alot of the rooms were shut down because it had all the renovation material in them.
