First trip to Hua Hin and the wide beachfront that Hyatt marketed caught my attention. Pleasantly surprised that the property, staff, and overall stay experience was a delight. Hyatt Regency isn't the newest 5-star property around, but much effort has been made to upkeep the facilities and it feels like a resort kept in its golden-age best, with signs of a matured property in the best possible way. Only improvement is likely on the entral air-conditioning in room, which has a musky smell emanating, especially when temperatures are set above 23 degrees. Likely a sign that a major service and flush of the system and filters are due. Staff are great, delivering classic Thai hospitality proudly. Great breakfast spread and so far a good comfortable room. Still barely halfway through my 5 day stay here, but it's a strong start.

I was upset when I knew the main big pool is under renovation til September'19. But we had managed to swim in their other small pool which was OK. We felt better after trying the club lounge free snacks and drinks in the evening. It was worth every cost we spent and the room itself is big and comfortable for us. Watched some free DVD in our room during rain outside. Overall it was a great moment for us to stay with Hyatt.

The hotel has got view, but so many mosquitoes. The service is ok for 5 stars hotel. The location is a little bit far from convenient store (need to walk about 15"). If you want to spend full day in hotel, this hotel gives it.
