I feel the breakfast is to expensive, I booked a room in the lodge. I know this is a budget room but the window doesn’t close and the room smelt of weed, the tv wasn’t plugged in or connected to the aerial. I know that sounds petty but I didn’t really expect to have to set a tv up when I got to my room. The internet wouldn’t connect so I was unable to carry out any online admin work. But on a good note - there was hot water and the shower pressure was good.

An older hotel, as most of the Britannia hotels are. Suitable for a night or two and good for Gatwick airport.

It is what it is..... a very cheap room very close to Gatwick it's not fancy or plush but perfectly acceptable if you want a cheap night before flying

Hotel was ok, unfortunately not only was the jacuzzi out of order i had to pay to use the pool even though i was a hotel guest. Rooms was boiling and they block you from opening the windows fully and no air con in the rooms. Beds was very squeaky at night. All in all a bit of a disappointment for the price.

Worst experience we’ve ever had. There was no A/C in the room, not even a fan, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The staff was not helpful at all, and both breakfast and dinner were terrible. There’s supposedly a bar with a food menu, but they only serve food when the restaurant is open for dinner, which was very inconvenient. The beds were awful, and overall the entire experience was just terrible. The hotel advertises itself as pet friendly, but our dog was only allowed in the room or outside. We couldn’t even enjoy breakfast or dinner together as a family because one of us always had to stay behind with the dog. We would never go back and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel desperate needs attention to detail, but bar area, reception and gardens are nice. The pool area was very poor on the eye, jacuzzi deconstructed for fixing or maintenance but it looks dreadful in the pool area when swimming! Pool area needs cleaning/tidying up. Split panels, broken panels, windows all hazy, just looks a bit in a state of disrepair. No notification that jacuzzi wasn’t working, pool temp ok, closes 1900hrs but you have to be out by 1845! Last pool entry 1800hrs and hotel guest cost is £4 per person inc children £1 to use towel too. Ate in bar food was very nice, simply selection but plenty of choice! To summarise value for money but needs maintaining somewhat in a few areas!

The hotel was okay overall. The rooms were clean and the staff were polite. The stay was comfortable, though a few services could be improved. Good for a short stay.

The room was basic but had everything we needed and was clean. Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. There was loads of parking even though events were on

Needed a stopover to pick up from airport. Chose this place due to low cost but this did not mean low quality. The room was great, nice swimming pool for a quick dip. Had a drink in the bar and the buffet carvery was great and inexpensive. Took about 5 mins to drive to North Terminal carpark. Will definitely use this hotel again if we need to be at Gatwick early.

Listen! It's not The Ritz, but then neither is the price. For what we paid I couldn't have been happier. It's clean, you have everything you need. The food was good. We didn't get to make use of the spa unfortunately. But that's just gives me an excuse to return! Yes it needs a little update in places, but I feel it just added to the charming the place.

Comfortable hotel, good facilities, fitness area was practical, looked like needs a little attention to spruce it up.

Loud, Eastern European teenagers on a bus tour, very loud running in the halls and such till 2am. The staff did nothing. The pool was 4£ extra, I don't like hidden or added fees. You have a pool I want to use the pool. It was a scam.

The room was dated but clean. it was good value and a comfortable stay. No negatives except the age of the property - it’s dated and tired but it suited our needs fir a cheap & cheerful one night stay.
