the hotel was clean and well decorated. The staff were excellent and the bar was well stocked and the service was excellent. My only observation, is that for a property that large, it should have a small club vive place, nothing over the top. I didn't see a game room, like pool tables etc. if you have it, then I didn't see it.

Place is well maintained, friendly and easy to navigate. Front desk staff helpfulness was variable. Some went out of their way to unsure we were well instructed, others in the evening tended to be less invested in customer service. Overall, a nice experience.

They would not allow my driver to come in to the property, which was a big inconvenience. There’s no 24 hour room service. There’s nothing special about this property. It’s better to stay off of this property and go to an actual hotel. It’ll be a lot cheaper there cleanliness is exactly what I gave them. One star we told the housekeeping and the front desk manager That there was stains and rips on the sheer curtains, never replaced it. The glass sliding door never worked and our room was right up against the pool, which people could easily open up that glass line door. I will never ever stay in this hotel again for the price that they charge. Save your money or stay at another hotel

Overpriced for service

Food was good , the staff was very nice the hotel can use a bit of upgrade, definitely would stay there again

I rent a pool view room with the window so dirty I coudnt see the pool, also the lockbox wasnt working and the coffee mashine was leaking, we inform the staff about it but they didnt do anything about it. Other than that everything was perfect

Great place and good services

The staff was amazing. I was celebrating my birthday and they added some special touches that made my trip even more enjoyable. The property is beautiful and in a great location.

Too concerned with trying to sale room upgrades than satisfying the customer.

Horrible check in. I came in prepaid and was the first in line and it took 25 minutes. Also, had to stand in line to get parking validated to leave. Frustrating experience. Do NOT book this hotel through this website. They won’t even discuss anything with. Rude!

Staff is not welcoming, kind of feels like they are doing you a favor and you're inconveniencing them. Restaurant food takes forever, good though, but be prepare to wait close to an hour. Chair had suspicious stains.

Enjoyed facilities but was not pleased by spa (co-located) not honoring the hotel guests discount rate, offered to me at the front desk. Reason given because the spa appointment was booked online.

Terrible customer service

I strongly recommend that people stay at another property. The property was under construction and the rooms definitely needed some repairs. We booked a double bed room for us and our 2 children and were put in a king room. My husband had to sleep on the floor. Additionally, my credit card was charged multiple times with unapproved charges and now I am having to work with my bank to get a refund. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Marriott Belen. It’s a nicer property for the same rate with much better customer service.

Our stay at the InterContinental Hotel Multiplaza was a perfect finale to our Costa Rican adventure. From the moment we arrived, parking was a breeze, and dropping off our AVIS rental car couldn’t have been more convenient—ideal for travelers trying to make the most of their final hours. The hotel’s location is spot-on, directly across from the Multiplaza mall, which was a lifesaver for picking up last-minute gifts and essentials for my daughter. The mall offered a great variety of nice shops, all within easy walking distance. Our room was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. The only hiccup was the shower handle, which kept falling off during use—something that could use a quick fix. Other than that, the space felt modern, comfortable, and truly upscale. A real highlight was the breakfast buffet—plentiful, delicious, and diverse. We especially appreciated the thoughtful takeaway breakfast spread arranged for our early morning airport departure. It’s little touches like this that set a hotel apart. With 24-hour services, friendly and attentive staff, and a secure, well-kept environment, we always felt both welcome and safe. The on-site shop even had some lovely souvenirs, perfect for those last-minute memory-makers. Overall, the InterContinental provided a smooth, classy, and convenient stay. We’d absolutely recommend it—and we’d happily return.
