This Super 8 had an indoor and an outdoor pool and provided barbecues and patios for your use with your rooms if you are facing the pool I will be returning next year

There were no No Smoking signs around the exterior pool which is contrary to standards here in Ontario Canada. While there around the pool there were three families with children and the adults smoked non stopped making it impossible for non smokers to enjoy the sun poolside. In our room both sinks were plugged and the water was barely draining. When entering our room the AC was off and the room was musty due to the high temperature in the area. The towels felt wet and the sheets as well. I will not stay at Port Elgin Super Eight again.

Do not book this hotel! Run down, not well maintained and generally unclean. Booked a pool view room, cigarette butts outside our door, wet dirty towels on the ground. The outdoor pool had not been cleaned in a long time.. The outdoor barbecues are falling apart, no propane for those who wanted to save on meal costs. Manager was not helpful when we checked out a day early and would not refund any of our stay. Expedia tried on our behalf and was told no again. Just don't stay here!!

Two pools, a hot tub and sauna. Wonderful choices. Breakfast room gets a little busy after 8. Good selection though.

The front reception area and dining room were fine. The halls were hot and smelly and our room was not clean. There were stain marks on the wall, the caulking around the gbbase of the tub looked grimy and the carpet was torn and frayed to the point it could be a tripping hazzard. Although the website indicated there would be a coffe and tea maiker in the room we were told at check in that there would not be and if we wanted coffee or tea we could come to get it in the lobby. I learned that removal of the Keurigs from the guest rooms was a decision of local management and not a change in policy by the chain. The rate was 375 for one night which was exhorbitant especially fgiven the condition of the premises. I would stringly advise against staying at this hotel.

Good location; the swimming pool needs some attention, but the water was really warm. They need more space for breakfast; when the hotel is busy, there is not enough tables available.

We had an emergency come up and had to leave a day early. Expedia was willing to help us out, but the manager didn't. Gary said payment was automatic and he couldn't do anything, but we found out later, that not charging us for the last night or providing us a refund was well within his power. It was shortly after check-out, so it was early enough in the day to rent out the room to someone else (and he may have done that anyway). He also let someone down the hall keep a dog (who kept barking at all hours) when no dogs were allowed in that section. We also found dirty band-aids on the pool deck. No compassion, just wanted our money even though we were distraught in having to leave because my mom was rushed to the hospital. Even though Super8 Wyndham in Port Elgin is supposed to be a cheaper hotel, $250 for a night we couldn't stay was alot of money to us. Wouldn't recommend them at all.

the room was super clean and I stayed with friends. There’s a fridge and microwave in the room. outdoor and indoor pool and great! bathroom was clean, we needed 4 towels for extra and the staff brought it to our room right away. breakfast is also good, there’s not much selection of the food but there were scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries and more!

The photos were a little misleading. Older place, pool kind of old and not so clean

We do not had specific time informatin about the breakfast so we miss it.

We have very nice stay and staff is very accommodating and kind.

The room I had was very quiet and clean. The breakfast was fair. Eggs- not so good, tasteless. Sausages looked unappealing. Variety of bagels would be nice. Coffee available all day- excellent! Overall, a good stay. Will come again if the opportunity is there.

Room smelled very musty and damp. Carpet looks like it should have been changed 10 years ago. When we checked into the room my daughter had to use the bathroom and discovered it full of urine that wasn't flushed from the cleaner or previous occupant. Overall the place looks very run down. Big paint chip on door to room. Caulking around sink is a mess. Bathroom door is coming off hinges. $300 for a ghetto room but it was too late to book anything else. The Holiday Inn is million times better. Gross experience. The pool was the only good thing about this place.

The breakfast was perfect for our family. We also liked the outdoor bbqs and seating. Would’ve liked it if they still had the lawn games to play. The front desk said they weren’t there anymore. Should either take down the sign outside or get new games.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Our room is spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was quick to send towels when requested. And the kids love the pool! We will definitely come back!
