Firstly, 5 stars for the beach and sea. Really fine sand and clear water. However, room and facilities of this resort is below average.

Fast check-in and friendly staff, although I think the girl who did my check-in should smile more. Shout out to Mael from Recreation and the Front Office staff (especially the buggy driver)! The room - I have learned my lesson from my previous stay to KEEP THE BALCONY SLIDING DOOR LOCKED! The monkey can be very aggressive and scary! The housekeeping staff was great and attentive. The food (Bayu Bar - if I'm not mistaken) was a bit too pricey and it was meh. :( The fries/potato wedges were really bad, looks bad (by bad I mean, not fresh, a bit too oily and brown-blackish color) and taste bad. Feels like it has been refreezing and thawed more than twice. However, the pizzas were great. And oh - the waiter/waitress, not attentive to surrounding and I have to climb up to the counter after 30mins of waiting to be served. Every.time.I.went.there.for.snack.time. Lack of training? Something to look into.

The room was spacious, clean and comfy! They even upgraded us to Premier Cliff Bay Suite room. I requested for an anniversary bed arrangement and that too, was awesome! They gave us cute anniversary cake as a bonus. Definitely will come again after the monsoon. Thanks Taaras.

Awesome resort. The room way exceeds our expectations. Beautiful view to the cliff and the private beach. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. I strongly recommend this resort for couples.

Due to monsoon we unable to enjoy. It’s not safe to travel. But they still open their resort and they charge 250 per person for private boat. And it’s not stated in voucher. Also they didn’t mention about it earlier. Very disappointed. Terengganu jetty closed since November due to monsoon because it’s not safe to travel.

This was our second stay at Taaras in 2019. Great hotel with great beach. Although the wave was bigger compared in July, we still had great times. Dedi , staff at transport, really helpful. Definitely going back in 2020.

The experience was just okay as can’t expect much during monsoon season. Beach bar and one of the restaurants were closed so I had to have the same food menu for 3 days. Due to monsoon season, the package that I have booked can’t be carried out and was replaced with 2 snorkelling trips. However, not much things to see (I guess is because of the season). Hopefully the experience will be better when travelling during peak season.

The place was very peaceful. Suitable for couple and family. My kids was really do enjoy with the activities and playroom. But, so sad can't do snorkeling at Turtle Bay due to monsoon season. Will visit again to meet turtles :))

Beautiful clean beach w fine white sand & clear water. Not crowded this time so it is peaceful & relaxing at the beach & mealtimes. The trio live Batak Band during dinner is fabulous. My family enjoy their performance v much. We love The Taraas for its tranquility & friendly staff. It’s expensive but I guess you pay for its exclusivity & private beach. Stay at Garden suite. Quiet & near to restaurants, pool & beach.

We have and amazing stay at Taaras. Kind sad have to leave tomorrow. The staffs are great specially Zaidi at ASEAN restaurant. Already planning for next stay.

It was a great stay. Only one bad thing which was the entire resort black out for almost one hour in midnight. It was unacceptable the resort does not have a backup generator.

Excellent services with friendly staff. Very well maintained, clean beach fronts. Especially love the effort of the management in preserving natural habitats such as the turtle conservation lab and activities.
