Faded glory holding its charm. Large rooms with baths. Most excellent breakfast. Great choices of fruit and many buffet dishes as well as English breakfast. Would have appreciated a luggage trolley. Easy parking

Parking was included and no problem finding a space. A big plus in Harrogate. All staff I saw were friendly and knowledgable.

The staff were in the main very friendly and helpful. The room was very old fashioned and in need of some refurbishment. There were only two sockets neither of which were close to the beds. The curtains didn't cover the window completely and they were very light. As a consequence I couldn't sleep beyond the very early morning due to the light. The bathroom was fine although the bath was very deep and high sided which made getting in and out to use the shower a little difficult. The main thing the room had going for it is that it was large with plenty of room in both the bedroom and bathroom. The room was very clean. We thought the food was excellent. In particular the breakfasts were outstanding. A big factor for us was the good amount of parking available at the hotel. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it for value for money too.

Had to upgrade to superior room classic room on entry had bad smell

Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of free on site parking. Staff were at time not very helpful. They have an ecco hot water system which meant quiet a wait for the hot water. Location to centre was good.

Beyond faded to dilapidated grandeur. Gruff Yorkshire welcome. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. When I reported this it was dismissed as we don’t allow smoking. Carpet dirty. Paint chipped. Wifi worse than dial up. Poor telephone signal. Fawlty towers without the humour.

Comfortable room, good breakfast, plenty parking and friendly staff

Staff very obliging, rooms always cleaned with new towels and bedding, tried the food at the bar and can highly recommend the pizza, fabulous, breakfast huge variety and staff very helpful, would return again very enjoyable stay for 2 night's.

Nice hotel very close to Harrogate centre. The room I had was a family room and looked out onto the lawn at the back - so it was nice and quiet and secluded. It's a very traditional hotel - the main social areas could do with a refurbish, but it was still a great stay. Would stay here again.

Good location within easy walk of the town with ample parking. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Room decor a bit tired but spacious and everywhere very clean. Building full of character.

Well located with parking and within walking distance from town. Buffet breakfast, nothing special but would recommend this hotel based on value and convenience.

Breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel. Everything fresh, hot(where required) staff attentive and polite. Car parking on site very good. Rooms were clean large and everything you could need. Tea coffee milk endless supply if needed.

We were allowed to check in before 3.00pm as we arrived early. The room was clean but very dated and the furniture was old and shabby. The room carper was threadbare in places. Shower was OK once we got it work. The whole building looked tired and in need of alot if work. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast where they were polite, attentive and very efficient. The breakfast was very good with a range of hot and cold offerings. The parking in the hotel was ideal and its location to the centre of Harrogate is only 5 minutes walk. Generally we enjoyed the stay but will look to book other hotels next time we are in Harrogate.

Staff were very good and cleaner excellent, but hotel is very tired and in need of decorating even a lick of paint would be an improvement.
