Clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Our room was clean and comfortable with a stellar view.

Having the kitchenette available was an added benefit. Bed was comfortable, had everything necessary to cook when needed and the view from the room was beautiful. The room was perfect for the two of us and the staff were welcoming.

The room decor was charming and really went with the beach theme. The deck and view from our room was really nice.

Pool heater and clothes washer wasnt working,

We enjoyed our stay - we were there just 1 night on our way down the coast - it was nice room - the carpet could use a cleaning but other than that it was good

Room was clean. Hide'a'beds were terrible. Frame was bent and caused the head part to slant down ward. Mentioned it to front desk and they just said "oh, sorry! " the pool was supposed to be heated so took 1 year old down with family to swim only to find water was way too cold for the baby. The hot tub was nice, although it had a brownish buildup around it. Needed a good cleaning. And all the rooms have view if pool. Felt like a fishbowl on display. The room came with dishes to use which came in use. No room service. No housekeeping. But you could put dirty towels in a bag for them to exchange. Close proximity to beach if you don't mind a walk through an eerie dark maze trail. Kids thought that was an adventure. Beach toys at beginning of trail for use was nice. Mostly private access without vehicles use. That was nice. Close to town with restaurants and shops to explore. Decent wi-fi. Plenty of channels with dvd.

It’s a great place, nice pool and hot tub, easy walk to the beach, comfortable furniture, nice kitchen with all the amenities, exceptional staff. Our unit had a terrible shower, however. No pressure, couldn’t adjust temp. For the price, I expected a functional shower!

We spent three nights at The Grey Gull. Even though this property has been there for years, it has been well maintained. Our ground level, end unit was spotless with a good amount of space for our family of two adults and two children. The kitchen was well stocked and the queen size beds were so comfy. The expansive lawn bordering the pool and jacuzzi just outside our sliding door was a wonderful open area for the kids to run and play. All in all, it was a good value and we had a great stay.

Soooo much nicer than expected! Pool and hot tub were great! The dogs got some VIP treatment and loved the walk to the ocean. 3 miles down is the off leash beach and they really enjoyed that!

The room was large and beautifully decorated with a beach theme. Deer walked through the grounds like they owned the resort.

Do not recommend. Overall, a hugely disappointing stay at The Grey Gull - especially considering the high prices of their rooms. We had one pet with us, which is an additional +$25.00 a night. The upcharge seems absurd considering we were put in a pet-friendly room which smelled of pet urine, pet stains ALL OVER the 1989 carpet, and couch. The room was disastrously outdated. One can find cleaner, better condition furniture at Goodwill. In our room, there was a very large, tacky tapestry hanging over the fireplace with a bible verse. The front desk staff in the afternoon/evening, a young woman - was annoyed by questions regarding amenities. Be aware that you must ask staff to use the it, and then it has to be heated up for 10 minutes before one can enter. The pool is a nice amenity, but be advised that it is very loud at all times of day when the pool is open. Do yourself a favor, and spend your money elsewhere.

Pool and hot tub were amazing as usual

We have been coming to the grey gull now for over 30 years. The grey gull is our favorite place to stay. We have never had a bad experience. Staff are amazing, the rooms we have stayed in are amazing! You can not go wrong booking with them!

This hotel came highly rated on Hotels.com, and it wasn’t cheap but we booked based on trusting the guest reviews. It was a disappointment. Front office staff was very preoccupied at my attempt to check in, everything was not quite clean and the room was outdated and gross. I will say - there are a lot of amenities. But they were all old and crappy.

Had a great time at the Grey Gull. The rooms were very comfortable and lots of room. Our Grandson loved the pool. No complaints!!
