hot and cold water is difficult to control , water output is not strong enough

When selected the room, found have queen size bed and reserved it with higher amount. After registration, the bed is normal double bed. The staff told us they have not offered any queen size room. I felt very frustrating! Also, the shower water is extremely weak and need to take an hour for bathing.

The building is beautiful, however the room itself was truly nothing special, the windows do not stay open and there is no air-conditioning so the room was unbearably hot all night. In the morning when I had a shower I had to pick between scorching or freezing and due to the hot room freezing was preferred. Overall, the main attraction to this hotel is the building being beautiful but I would be highly unlikely to stay again and would not recommend to my friends and family.

Beautiful grade 1 listed building. Staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble, and very friendly. Would definitely recommend it and would love to go again

Right in town so perfect from train station. Lovely staff and my room was lovely. Great sleep. Check out at 11. Will be back again :)

Check in was straight forward. - Bathroom was not very clean - Urine on the toilet seat - Shower was boiling due to shower hose split and cold water escaping - Stained bed linen Would have been nice to have some bottled water in the room. Asked for an iron and was burnt so couldn’t use it. Had a room facing high street that was extremely noisy so had little sleep.

I turned up early, and the friendly receptionist, chatted with me for ages. The room was sootless and when I checked in they had put a heater on to ensure the room wad warm. I will definitely return.

The hotel's boiler was broken so no hot water.

It is a lovely and clean hotel, but the boiler was not working properly so there was no central heating or hot water for a time. The staff made me welcome and as comfortable as they could with a heater and an extra duvet but for a long time I was cold and could not shower when I wanted to, unfortunately I spent more time in the room than planned! I will return but will be 100% better when the hotel and rooms are warm.

No Hot Water. Stained Bedding. Suspicious brown stain on wall. Room not ready for check in. Heating not working. Bed uncomfortable. Toilet seat loose. No one at reception on leaving to complain to. Not a stay I enjoyed I’m sorry to say.

Breakfast excellent Bar never open

Everyone very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was generous and I especially liked the tasty omelette and coffee.

We had room 5 at the front. Very noisy from taxi rank & general street noise. Cold as radiator not working and window wouldn't stay shut as restrictor fitted wrongly. Toilet reluctant to flush, towel rail disconnected from pipe, plug in sink ineffective, kettle too big to get under tap. Main room light dim, only one bedside light, not possible to read after dark. The restaurant isn't open in the evening. Staff were pleasant and helpful and did supply an electric heater after we complained about teh cold.
