Loved it

All was good but extremely disappointed with the fact that spa facilities were an additional charge when it was not indicated on the booking. I could have easily gone elsewhere which did. When i mentioned it to the reception staff. They just said they we should have booked it directly with the hotel. So it was misleading on the hotels.com app and they staff were not obliging. It has left a bad taste to the weekend. Won't be gong back as a result.

Nice room but the bed and pillows were far to hard for me

Lovely room it had all I needed for my stay .

Stayed for 1 night room only. Kettle didn’t work but too late to do anything about it. Reported it to reception on the way out and got a small apology. No offer of a cuppa.

The room was clean. The door was a bit broken and one or two fittings needed to be replaced (very minor issues). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the breakfast was excellent. My only observation on that was that not all the hot items were on the buffet at the same time. Not the biggest problem but I like to get my food and sit down without having to keep getting up to see if the fried eggs and black pudding had appeared. Having said that, this will definitely be our first choice of hotel when we come back to Newcastle. One other suggestion- it would be helpful to have a footpath from the entrance gate to the hotel door.

There is a £7 fee for using the pool. This is not mentioned at the time of booking.

Long check in time and expensive bar. Lovely clean however.

Very tired hotel, that was noisy. Food not good

On arrival. The receptionist said to go down a couple of steps to the room. It was actually down 3 lots of stairs. Along 2 corridor abd then up another 2 lots of stairs. Room was very small and in basement. Bathroom not the cleanest. Then when trying to get to sleep. The next door were shouting and banging doors. At 1 30 am had to go to reception to report it. As phone in room did not work.

Very clean room and staff very friendly a great base for racecourse goers

Room was excellent, spotlessly clean, charging for a spa and pool while staying at the hotel as guests should be looked at.

Was upgraded free to a standard double. Large tv, excellent and comfy cuck chair, comfy bed. From the website it was £7 per day do guests to use pool so I didn’t bother with the facilities.
