Slidt hotel, kloaklugt på badeværelset, aircondition virkede ikke optimalt, dårlig rengøring, urenheder i poolen. De skriver at man skal betale for specialkaffe til morgenmaden, som i øvrigt ikke er særligt god, men det skal man ikke. Vi kommer ikke igen.

Beautiful property and lovely staff. Beautiful room. Prettily decorated with useful antiques. You have to go to front desk to get pool towels. Pool closed at 6pm on Saturday night. Something was up with plumbing and the bathroom shower drain smelled disgusting and was not resolved during our stay after reporting it. Heavy on air freshener. Shuttle touted as an amenity. Only two am shuttles to Taormina and one return. Thankfully gravelly g with a resident so he knew best places to park.

Great welcome and information. Staff caring and answer swiftly. Pool access hour a little restrictive at this time of year. Restaurant is fine and price reasonable. Hotel a bit outdated but clean and functionnal. Great set up and view.

Fantastic location away from the huddle and bustle of Taormina but within easy reach. Great pool and fabulous views.

Hotel Villa Sonia was amazing! We had a great stay from check-in to check-out. The staff were so helpful and booked excursions as well as scooter rentals. Plus the breakfast and restaurant were great. Castelmora was only a few flights of stairs away and an amazing way to end the nights. Our room was spectacular, great view of Mt Etna and a wonderful haven from the midday heat. We would definitely return for future holidays.

Ett underbart familjehotell vid Castelmola. Fina rum, fantastiska vyer med Etna ständigt närvarande, generös och god frukost, underbart poolområde, trevlig personal och fullt med historia överallt. En plats att ladda batterierna och bli lugn och lycklig.

Der erste Eindruck vom Hotel war mehr als top, weil der Rezeptionist einfach eine gute Seele ist. Ausblick auf Ätna ein Traum, sei es vom Balkon oder Pool.

Litt gammelt og slitt, men den mest fantastiske utsikten man kan få. Helt nydelig sted. Castelmola er et helt fantastisk sted.

The hotel was Traditional and wellkomming , beautiful views off the Etna Volcano and mountains. Pool was relaxing. Hotel offered a shuttle to Taormina and also there runs a bus every hour. Everybody was helpful and very nice.

Otroligt fint läge högst upp på berget. Gick smidigt att ta sig till & från Taormina med taxi. Stor anläggning men en svårslagen utsikt över Etna. Poolområdet är trevligt. Uppe på berget finns byn Castelmola som måste besökas, så pittoreskt! Där finns många bra restauranger & café. Vi skulle bo här igen!

Lovely quiet hotel in the beautiful location of Castelmola, just a couple of winding road miles from Taormina. Rooms are nice although bathrooms are lacking a decent shower. Reception staff, Luigi and David were a pleasure and extremely helpful on a daily basis, from arranging taxis to offering local restaurant suggestions. The Hotel terrace restaurant is also good and the view of Mt Etna from this terrace is stunning. I loved my morning Cappuccinos with that view. The owners were very active in the running of the operations, always greeted us with a smile and their family assist them throughout the hotel. I believe their son in law is the Pizza chef and we did not find any better Pizza anywhere locally. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable week in Sicily.

Et gammelt hotell som nok hadde sine glansdager for lenge siden. Utsikten er veldig fin, men det meste annet fungerer ikke optimalt og fasilitetene har ikke blitt oppgradert på en liten evighet.

Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience. The views were breathtaking! Easy access to Taormina Central. The owners Maria and Giuseppe are amazing people insuring your stay was a pleasant one. The food and drinks were top notch as well. We look forward to staying there in the near future.

Lovely location with amazing views. Pool is wonderful and outdoor and indoor relaxing areas plentiful. Hotel was very clean and always smelt fresh. Beds made and fresh towels daily. Hotel felt cosy and traditional and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was traditional continental. Wonderful pastries which we worked our way through!

Besutiful older, but well maintained property. Location, location, location. Could not beat it. Staff extremely happy, kind and helpful. Had a problem which was well dealt with by staff. Highly recommend, well worth it.

What a great find! This place has an amazing view of Mt. Etna. Castelmola is a charming medieval town. Definitely worth a visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The room was spacious but I could not get the air conditioning to work.

We had trouble locating our hotel in Taormina and a staff member at Sonia helped us with a cab driver. We had planned to stay one night at the Hotel Sonia but next time we will stay there every night.
