Our group was belittled and demeaned and essentially harassed by the restaurant and front desk staff. Do not book here if you are travelling with a group. They turned off the lights on the lobby while we were watching a hockey game repeatedly to tell us the lobby was closing at 10:30. They repeatedly asked us if we had paid for parking. At 10 pm we moved to the restaurant area as they had indicated the lobby was closing. They sold us the last drink shortly after 11 pm. By 11:05 they turned off the lights and left us in pitch black. When I spoke to them to say they were required to give us a reasonable time to finish our last drink and that OHS standards required a certain lightening level they were beyond rude. We complained to the hotel manager in the morning who was very apologetic and said that should not have happened. Two days later while trying to order a bagel for my son they refused service to me. Embarrassed and belittled me and several of the other parents in the dining room in front of other guests because they said we were disrespectful to them. Their staff needs some serious customer service experience. The manager was lovely and notified by our experience. I have never in my life had such a negative experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Front staff were kind and welcoming. The room was much larger than I expected. Clean, comfy and had a beautiful view of the waterfront.

We took the train to Halifax and were able to walk to the hotel from the train station (10 minute walk). The hotel was in a great location, seconds from the waterfront. Great stay!

From check-in to check-out, everything was great. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Hotel is clean and well maintained. WIFI is adequate, no issues. Parking is easy and convenient with a parking garage onsite, but parking garage is tight with a larger vehicle. AC is loud, but tolerable. Hotel is located right on the waterfront with beautiful views of the harbour. Would definitely book here again.

Had a great time , there was a bit of a mix up with the check in was very busy but over all kids had a great time and the staff were all very nice !

Great location close to everything

I stayed at this hotel multiple times and loved it, but I think this may be my last time. There was no hot water got cold showers my whole stay, bathroom had a really bad smell of urine, the heat didn’t work so room was freezing, and the outlets were so lose I couldn’t charge anything. For a hotel that’s usually beautiful I was very unsatisfied

The room we had reserved was supposed to have a balcony. Upon check-in, there was no balcony room avaliable and we had to opt out for a standard room. There was no parking available on site and we had to walk from a public parking lot. Due to these issues, the hotel staff member named Angel indicated that we would qualify for a discounted rate which was not applied. Once in our room, it had a strong odour of musty moldy air. Upon check-out I inquired about this situation and the discounted rate to which the employee working at the desk said he couldn't help me because the booking was completed through expedia. This was not a pleasant hotel experience.

Close to downtown

Very friendly staff and comfortable bed. Decent restaurant, but would it kill you to add some tomatoes or cucumber to your salad? Bathrooms are quite dated and my room wasn’t the cleanest when I checked in. Shower curtain smelled of mildew. They also didn’t clean my room at all one day even though the sign was not on. Overall decent value but there are some ways to improve — especially the cleaning.

The room was freezing cold and turning up the thermostat did not do anything to change the temperature. The next morning, my shower was not even lukewarm. It was cool. Definitely not hot when I told them at checkout the guy didn’t seem to care one bit.
