Great hotel full of character. Next to the river and a short walk into the main town. Parking available at the back of the hotel. Staff were great, always friendly. Rooms differ from modern to very old. Rates are reasonable and the breakfast delightful. Have stayed here many times always good.

Check-in was easy. The room was at the far end of the hotel despite low occupancy. The property was a little tired but the rooms were comfortable, beds and shower good too. Breakfast was good. Be aware that there is a £5 charge for parking that we were not advised of at check in . This surprise was announced at check out the next day

Very comfortable hotel. Lovely location 5 min walk to cathedral. Room was a bit warm for our liking, as it was a top floor room and we had sunny weather. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was okay.

Hotel clean and tidy.Location perfect for exploring Salisbury, staff very friendly, breakfast very good and restaurant food reasonably priced, fresh and tasty. Hotel looking a bit tired and in need of some love and attention regarding decor, some carpets, etc. Lovely to sit outside on the river bank with a drink in hand or if the weather not favourable in the restaurant looking out

Booked and paid last year for room with king bed. Didnt get that. No explanation why from staff. Room was in old part with no ventilation and double bed that needed to be replaced years ago. Pillows were terrible. Floors created and shower water got stuck on scalding and needed to be fixed. All over very disappointing stay.

Kitchen had just closed when I arrived in the evening (midweek) but remaining catering staff offered me soup and sandwiches. Always a most enjoyable stay.

Hotel is lovely with a great setting on the river, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was first class, as was the Evening meal, did feel that the tables in the restaurant were a bit dated so a cloth to cover the table would have made it look so much nicer, I appreciate that the building is very old and had I known how noisy it was going to be I would have asked for an upstairs room, you could hear every step because the floorboards were very creaky and none of room doors had a soft close mechanism so there was constant door banging, it would also have been helpful if all guests could be reminded to be considerate by keeping the noise down when returning to there rooms late at night on the information sheet in the room. Having said all that it is a beautiful place in a great location and I will definitely be returning in a few months. Thank you

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Don't be put off by it's roadside position. The rooms are located at the rear of the hotel, with stunning views overlooking the river and Abbey. Our room had french doors out on to the riverside. Super friendly and courteous staff. Look forward to staying again

Very nice room in the original part of the hotel, comfy bed, excellent breakfast.

We did not stay as rooms were terrible. Damp mouldy smell triggering my asthma, room filthy, tatty and from the 80's. Will never stay at a Legacy again.

El hotel es hermoso , el staff muy àmable y el desayuno muy bueno. Lo único que nos sorprendio e incómodo fue que en una estancia de 3 NOCHES, la habitación nunca se limpió, ni siquiera se sacó la basura o se cambiaron las toallas. Es una lástima si falta de limpieza ya que nuestra calificación hubiera sido mucho mejor si esto no hubiera pasado
