We stayed at Azzura Green Apartments and unfortunately our experience got off to a terrible start. For the first three nights, our apartment had a significant cockroach infestation. We reported the issue and were moved to another apartment, which we appreciated, but there was no apology for the situation, no acknowledgment of how unpleasant it was, and no compensation for the food that had been contaminated and had to be thrown away. It was a very disappointing way to begin our stay.
The second apartment was much better. It was cleaner and, thankfully, free of cockroaches. However, it was missing several basic kitchen items that you would normally expect in a self-contained apartment, including chopping boards, and there wasn’t enough cutlery for the number of guests the apartment accommodated. The master bedroom also only had sheets and a decorative throw instead of a proper blanket, which made for some very cold nights.
Overall, the apartment itself is lovely and has great potential. It’s just a shame that, for the amount of money we paid, the furnishings and inclusions felt quite budget, and the handling of the initial cockroach issue fell well below expectations.
