Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast is very fresh and delicious. Room was clean and beautiful view of the sea.

The hotel is set in a great location to see and explore Ortigia and Siracusa. Restaurants and shopping within steps and the hotel faces the ocean but located in one street from the water. The hotel staff is customer service oriented and the hotel is nicely decorated. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was lovely and ample in size. Breakfast is both buffet and cooked to order and very good. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

The location of the hotel overlooking the water and the unique structure of the hotel is incredible. We had one terrace room as well and wish we could have stayed longer. Everything in Ortigia is "close" as you can walk from one side of the island to the other in 15 minutes. So choose this luxurious property if given the chance!

Breakfast was very excellent. Location is great but your room will most likely be looking out on a side street not the Mediterranean. Rooms are spacious. If you're driving a car there is a safe public parking garage about a 5-minute walk from hotel, otherwise the parking will cost $30/night, and believe me when I say you will not need to drive your car in Ortigia, nor would you want to.

I would definitely stay there again.

This is a beautiful hotel overlooking ( from our room) the morning ocean, with wonderful staff ( particularly Denise) who were extremely helpful & considerate. Wonderful breakfast was included. This is a stylish Hotel within walking distance of everything in Ortigia!

Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr schön: Eingang, Lobby, öffentliche Bereiche und Frühstück sind auf einem guten Niveau und hinterlassen einen positiven Eindruck. Leider kann ich das vom Einzelzimmer nicht sagen. Für den Preis und den Anspruch eines 4-Sterne-Hauses entspricht es nicht dem Standard, den ich erwarten würde. Die Dusche funktionierte nicht richtig, die Fugen im Bad sind teilweise in die Jahre gekommen und einige Details wirken wenig durchdacht. So sind beispielsweise die Halterungen für die bereitgestellten Shampoo- und Pflegeprodukte ungeeignet, sodass diese ständig herausfallen. Auch praktische Dinge wie eine Steckdose beim Nachttisch fehlen. Ich reise sehr häufig und übernachte regelmäßig in Hotels. Deshalb bewerte ich nicht aufgrund eines einzelnen Mangels, sondern aufgrund des Gesamteindrucks. Das Zimmer ist keineswegs schlecht, wirkt jedoch zu wenig gepflegt, gewartet und durchdacht, um dem Standard eines 4-Sterne-Hotels gerecht zu werden. Schade, denn die übrigen Bereiche des Hauses sind deutlich überzeugender.

We were encouraged by a tour guide to book a multi-star resort hotel in the Center of Siracusa. But, our research persuaded us that a boutique hotel on the Island of Ortigia was more in line with our standards and preferences. The Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel both met and exceeded our expectations. Everything, including the Center of Siracusa was within walking distance. The morning breakfast was convenient and ample. The bar was a nice place for a nightcap and the whisky selection was excellent. Our Junior Suite was very comfortable with quiet and great air conditioning. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to enjoy the terrace and views that were connected to our room.

It was a lovely, authentic hotel, with marvellous staff and a fantastic breakfast which was buffet and ala carte. The staff were very helpful and on our last day they arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 6:30 a.m. and they had packed a breakfast for us to take as the dining room did not open until 7:30. That was very thoughtful of them. The location is excellent.

We are a family of four, have traveled extensively and absolutely loved this hotel! Perfect location, able to valet park, breakfast included, but what really made it truly amazing is how friendly the staff were, including: Denise-who even helped us with our luggage to our room, Sonia-who was a delight in the morning at breakfast, even bringing us freshly squeezed orange juice (definitely get this!) and I’m not sure of his name, but the gentleman who made us cappuccinos every morning-he was wonderful. They were all simply delightful! If you are a runner, I highly recommend running along the water each morning. My only suggestion would be to make sure everything is removed from your car, we left with one less 12V charger, not a big deal, just take all of your belongings. Will definitely come back one day!

The only reason I didn’t rate this hotel 5 stars is because there is no outdoor space to sit / relax in. Outdoor space is important to me. If not to you it is a 5 star review.
