I was unable to enter the hotel parking lot due to plowed snow (from a snowstorm that ended many hours earlier) blocking the entrance. I own a newer sedan and I didn't feel like plowing through the snow with the front of my car. The parking lot beyond the entrance was also blocked off by hazard tape, and the area where there should have been a Comfort Inn sign was blank and falling apart.
Comfort Inn would not give a refund for the night, and Expedia was no help in rectifying the situation. Paying up front through Expedia might save a little money, but it could cost you in the end.
