Nice hotel with lovely garden views

Beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown by foot. The breakfast was very large with lots of selection. We enjoyed the tennis court as well.

Das Zimmer war sauber und bot alles Notwendige. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ok, nicht super, aber auch nicht schlecht. Der Barbereich ist gemütlich und gross gestaltet.

The property was well maintained and both the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the koi ponds and gardens was lovely. The food at the restaurant and bar was very good and diverse. The on site parking made traveling easy and its location in city center made exploration of Ponta Delgada a breeze.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Garden Azores. This hotel is a conference centre style hotel, so during the day the 1st level can get busy and noisy. Our personal room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent with lots of standard choices for the island area, seemed under staffed at times as finding a clean ready table was a chore. We were informed that a bathing cap was needed to be purchased (3 euro charge), to be able to use the swimmimg pool onsite, but we experienced several people using the pool without one. The hotel garden, as of our stay, was not yet maintenaned and part of the hotel was still under renovation. Our room was renovated, but the craftmenship was spotty, especially for the nice finishes.

This hotel is well maintained. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Garage is extra EUR10/day but it is worth it. The indoor pool is open until 10, which is very convenient. The bar has a good selection of lose teas that are served in special teapots. There are a lot of common areas with comfortable furniture. Location is also very convenient. The center of the town is walking distance form the hotel.

We had an incredible stay at Azoris Royal Garden. The location is excellent—right in the city center and very close to the airport, making it a perfect base for exploring São Miguel. This is the most active area of the Azores, with plenty to do for both adults and children. The rooms were spacious, clean, and carpeted, which made a big difference for us traveling with a toddler. There was plenty of room for him to move around safely without constant worry. The indoor pool and hot tub were standout features, especially the pool, which was very useful and enjoyable for our toddler regardless of the weather. The hotel also has a beautiful outdoor garden area that’s great for exploring and relaxing. Rain or shine, this hotel really delivers. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was consistently good. It was truly a pleasure to stay here, and we will absolutely return to this hotel on our next trip to the Azores.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Hotel seemed to be undergoing some refurbishment whilst we were there but this did not impact our stay in anyway. The room was spacious with a comfortable, clean bed and pretty views over the garden. Shower head was loose and needed to be moved back in position occasionally but otherwise everything was in perfect condition. The breakfast was great, offering a wide selection of both hot and cold options, with enough for us as vegetarians to never go short. Hotel staff were warm and approachable, helping us to arrange taxis and with other queries and really improved the quality of our stay. Hotel amenities were excellent, we greatly enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa facilities. The Turkish bath was not in operation. Hotel is in an excellent location right in the centre of town. It is a pick up point for most visits and trips you can book and is a 5 minute walk from Excellent food options as well as local attractions such as the botanical gardens and the sea front.

I found that they were making improvements to the property, spray washing exterior etc. Windows still dirty.i was quite surprised to not have shampoo or conditioner in the room? The hotel has great open seating areas and the breakfast was quite good but the staff refilling the stations did not seem happy to be there.

This was a gorgeous and well-located hotel. We appreciated the pool and spa, the fantastic on-site bar and the restaurant, plus our room was superb.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is at a great location where one can walk around the Porta Delgada downtown very easily. The staff is excellent and send to take pride in their work. The hotel itself is slightly on the older side, and shows it's age in some places, but it is well maintained and still looks great.

Hotel was alright, breakfast was ok, there’s parking for a fee. Wish there was a smart tv in the room so I can lay down after a long, tiresome day and watch some tv. It does take a while for them to come and clean your room. Overall ok but there are areas to improve
