Absolutely breathtaking hilltop gem in Rapallo – we felt like we were living in a painting! We arrived in Rapallo on May 5th and stayed at Hotel L’Approdo, and it immediately exceeded every expectation. The hotel is just a 7-minute taxi ride from the Rapallo train station, but once you arrive, you feel transported to another world. Perched high on the hill, the location is simply unbeatable.The moment we opened the curtains to our balcony, we were speechless. The view is absolutely breathtaking – the entire valley of Rapallo unfolds below with the sparkling sea, yachts in the harbor, historic castles, and lush green vegetation everywhere. It looks like a living postcard or an Italian painting. Both our room and our friend’s room next door were spotless, bright, and very comfortable, with excellent beds and pillows that guaranteed great sleep. The hotel itself is remarkably clean and well-maintained, with all the little necessities you need. We loved enjoying a glass of white wine on the hotel’s terrace right in front of the building – such a relaxing welcome after traveling. Breakfast was truly outstanding – an incredible variety of fresh food and drinks that felt like it never ended. Downtown Rapallo and the waterfront are an easy, pleasant walk away, making the location perfect for exploring while still having peaceful hilltop views and quiet nights. We are extremely grateful we found Hotel L’Approdo. It’s a splendid, high-quality hotel in a dream-like setting.

Super clean room and hotel, really nice staff, and a great location. Bring slippers though—the floors are freezing. Breakfast isn’t worth it unless you’re a big eater. Would definitely stay again.

The location was a mix of accessibility to Santa Margherita and Rapallo by walking also by Bus or car. Whereby walking to Santa Margherita was a good 10 minutes walk and 20

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice continental breakfast, reasonably priced. Beautiful views. We would def stay here again.

Fantastisk service, skøn udsigt

Skøn udsigt fra værelset med fuld havudsigt. Lidt hård seng. Lidt kedelig morgenmad. Hotellet ligger op af en bakke, så man skal være godt gående. Der er støj fra hovedvej nede foran hotellet

Hotel was nice and clean. Respectful staff. Breakfast was amazing. More food than you could ever imagine.

Perfect, amazing people are working at this hotel, was a pleasure to spend a few days here. If you need parking try booking it in advance, otherwise there is a public parking on the street nearby. Walking distance to the beach and nearest cities.

Excellent location. You can walk, bus or water shuttle easily. Staff was outstanding and having the balcony was awesome. Special shout out to Lisa!

Pent, rent, komfortabelt, og luftig rom med en liten terrasse med nydelig sjøutsikt. De ansatte på hotellet er super søte og hyggelige, veldig hjelpsomme og service innstilte. Hoteller ligger i fin gåavstand til Santa Margherita, og det er bussholdeplass rett utenfor hotellet. Stranden som ligger rett nedenfor hotellet var skuffende, - og med barn er ikke dette en destinasjon for bading, men uansett et supert utgangspunkt for å oppdage området rundt. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!
