The Parador de Lerma was delightful - a lovely building and charming staff. Parking was very easy in front of the Parador. The central atrium is a great place for a relaxing lunch or afternoon tea. The Parador is right in the middle of town so everything is within easy walking distance - having said that, there isn’t too much to see and we saw everything that we wanted to see in one day. Although we didn’t see the famous Toy Museum as it is only open at weekends- our fault, we should have checked the website. We had a wonderful, memorable meal at Restaurante Galoria - a small family-run restaurant with a delightful romantic ambience, dining in their courtyard. We also ate in the Parador restaurant- an excellent meal but with a somewhat different ambience - we were advised to book early for dinner as a large convention was taking place in the hotel and they would also be dining that night. We sat down at 7pm in a deserted restaurant as the convention was dining in a separate dining room! A final word on our drive to Lerma - we drove up from Sigüenza on the back roads via Imon and Esterbanvela. For the first 80 miles of that drive we did not see another car on our side of the road - no-one in front of us, no-one behind us. It was just relaxed driving on empty roads with beautiful views all the way - one of the best drives that I have ever done. We stopped at Esterbanvela for a coffee - a memorable open-air coffee at the side of the road!

Man kann sagen: Ist halt ein Parador! Ich hatte in Paradores noch nie schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. U d auch Lerma war spitze!

Les fauteuils et les canapés du patio étaient tous tachés. Chambres spacieuses.bonne literie.petit déjeuner complet. Prix maîtrisés pour boire un verre.

Beautiful hotel and parking very easy and free. However check with the hotel it isn’t market day as you have to use the hotel car park if it is. The room was clean and spacious with a bath tub. Check in easy and all the team were friendly.

Most things were absolutely excellent, check in was very smooth and efficient, extremely polite staff member looked after us and we were escorted to the lift, which was a different lift to our previous visit so that was useful. Hotel is absolutely magical, great rooms, really comfortable bed, nice bathroom, plenty of towels...and i managed to get the tv sound in English so Mrs could watch endless repeats of Blue Bloods...better than Spanish TV, which sadly is a low bar. Checkout also extremely efficient and courteous. 2 points for me - the food menu you can see using the online service is very different to the one posted outside the restaurant...the former has far more choice and the prices are cheaper, so it must be the old version, and it was disappointing to arrive at the restaurant to find some choices we expected were not there, and prices for the remaining items. Also, we booked breakfast at reception for day 2 of our stay, but when we arrived for breakfast there was no record of our booking and the young man did not know what to do, though evebtually it was sorted. Then the coffee was rank rotten (overboiled,not fresh) and the hot food was, well, lukewarm if i am being generous. 2 very small points but over the piece i would say 9+ out of 10, and i look forward to our next visit.

Third time here - always love Spanish paradors. This one has always been clean with great service. Bed was a little hard but does not detract from thr beauty of the old building and great staff.

Perfect as always. The parador is really amazing, as well as very clean and comfortable - but the staff are the crowning glory. Friendly, efficient and professional. The town of Lerma is so olde worlde Spanish too, with narrow cobbled streets, little local bars & a lovely little informative visitor centre and beautiful surroundings/views over the countryside. Well worth a visit but also perfectly placed for an overnight en route to Bilbao or Santander
