Interesting historic hotel. Quirky. Lovely room on 2nd floor. Limited and expensive parking but overnight free parking close by.

Superb location, clean and excellent food

Great food both breakfast and dinner. Room was clean modern and spacious. We stayed in 23 at the top,mind your head. Parking available next door, very convenient. Staff were polite smart and helpful.

Breakfast was great

Room 3, is a room to be avoided. The window opens only slightly, it is a very warm stuffy room, adding to the temperature of the room is a very large extractor fan which faces towards the window. We had 2 very uncomfortable night’s sleep. Would have liked a milk option on the tea tray.

Great location and good beer and food

Beautiful older hotel. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. They have done a fantastic job of ensuring that people who have accessibility needs have options, but that the historic charm is also maintained. Very good food, served in a beautiful historic setting!

Receptionist friendly and helpful with parking , buses and directions . Room lovely added little kitchen area which was a bonus . We stayed as a base for walkiing up Snowdon

I was very disappointed, as I booked a room in the black boy hotel, but was given a room in an outside Annexe quite a way from the hotel. Also we had to climb 3 flights of stairs with our luggage and no help. On specking with the receptionist I was informed the problem is with Expedia as they will not allow the hotel to describe the rooms correctly.

Breakfast was good. Staff in bar were not always great on service. Hotel was good as ever

Didn't had my breakfast had to leave earlier but evening meal wass spot on. Great staff, clean rooms also plenty of space in pub, im sure they have 4 different rooms where you can sit and enjoy your meal/drink and big beer garden are. Very good location spot on.

Great location for visiting Caernarfon. Inn was very charming and had a cosy feel to it; first time staying and enjoyed it very much. .. could do with a few cosy chairs to sink into tho

The Black Boy Inn has a lovely location close to the City Centre, public transportation, the Caernarfon Castle, an abundance of interesting shops and several nearby walking trails. The morning breakfast available to guests was a very reasonable price for a high quality selection of hot breakfast choices. My favorite dish was the salmon and scrambled eggs. The morning staff were attentive and efficient. I stayed in a cozy single twin bed room with a skylight. There were beams I needed to stay aware of.The bed was firm which I find comfortable. I would have preferred a little brighter light over the desk, but the light next to the bed was great for reading. The bathroom was clean and modern in decor. The shower had pros and cons. First, the rain shower feature had good water pressure and plenty of warm water. However, the opening to the shower was not very wide which would be an obstacle for larger folks. Overall, I was quite comfortable during my 3 night stay and I would not hesitate to stay at the Black Boy Inn again or recommend it to friends & family.

The room was lovely, it was warm, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choice, all freshly cooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel
